If he is aware of one his student hurting themselves he should absolutely try and help, provide resources and give options for either therapist, centers or apps, but he shpuld do it privately. He’s announcing that one of the students have mental health issues then demanding they reveal themselves or he will, and making a situation in which Izuku probably feels more stressed and anxious that before. He’s making feeling bad about yourself into some kind of crime, and that people who do shoild be roited out and publicly shamed for doing things to themselves.
I didn't like how aizawa anounced it to the class that sort of exposure could lead to reckless action maybe even suicide to escape the situation of humiliation and public outing (speaking from experience i feel like that should never happen)

Two thing that problem that make me upset. Aizawa announced to the classroom that Izuku does Self Harm. That should have been immediately addressed in private not PUBLIC to the class that (might) speak about it outside, having other students that attend UA to hear. That will lead to a big issue to Izuku life. Other people will get involved. Their will be lack of trust in friends and teachers, Izuku eyes looked at Aizawa as he been betrayed. Everyone in (Class 1-A) will look at him differently it will hurt, also you know when someone is a bit different by their body language, change of tone and the atmosphere in the class. I´m not saying that they will change completely but classroom atmosphere would mostly likely change. Questions, the look of pity or guilty, etc. It will be uncomfortable overall, knowing that you classmates/friends know what you done to yourself because of your home teacher announced it but since Izuku lives in the dorm he would have eyes on him. It should have been him(Izuku) to said it, it will take long to tell others or open up but he should be the one to tell his friends. Aizawa should have talked private. If this situation was in real life. Lawsuit. Why? Because unlike the anime and what would happen, someone in class will spill it to their friend and it will spread like a wildfire, if I had to find out that someone I know did self harm. It will hurt me to find out from people that are talking about instead of hearing it from my friend that would have told me, I´m not saying ¨your forcing them to tell you¨ No. No am not, not many people that do self harm come out to their friends, to their family they keep it to themselves and heal slowly, sometimes they don´t stop that where help comes in. Step by step, so that they can heal. -- The second issue I kinda have is how bakugou bullying Izuku from childhood to middle school, then stop. I´m happy that he apologized for what he has done towards his childhood best friend over a quirk that he did not have. I feel that he should´t have looked at having superpowers are what makes you better, it does not. Or how it changed him. I like how bakugou is changing completely and overlooking his past to see how bad it truly was and how he treated others. **My real, real issue is on the whole quirk system. I don´t like how superpowers(quirks) are looked upon as being higher then someone without it. What I mean to say is if your a rich person and you look at someone who is poor and think less of them, that how it starts. How hatred for a certain group started. How people of color is looked upon in society, as they are mistreated cant overlook that past and saying that never happened because it did. For my hero academia, quirks were always their in the world, they appeared and spreader to the whole world, as it also caused other split. The split was those with quirks are much more amazing as those without quirk are not, and they are targeted more. Having a quirk can be beauty, but its fcked up knowing their is no sides to it all. I mean having a quirk is beautiful but it a btch, I mean seeing other with much more powerful quirks and knowing sometimes your compared or hell even bullied for having a quirk that isn´t strong enough. No side wins. Beside this. sorry if you(the person that decided to read this) had a brain fart for how i said it all. Or how it may have been confusing.
