See, it'll be a loss for India temporarily because it'll increase no. of unemployment and also the competition ,but contemporary to this there will be a growth in Indian Market n Start ups cause many of the skill full people we have.

This policy is actually very beneficial for indian students doing bachelor's and master's in tbe US....and being a master's student myself, i can see how much students like me spend on tuition and accommodation and student loans. This policy helps students like me to get a H1B over students with an Indian degree who've not struggled with bieng in the US (not saying they haven't struggled).

I think this is a good step by America is because think about it, our Indian company does not have a single foreign CEO or on the other hand, in America, the CEO of a big company is a foreigner. And there is lot of nepotism in our Indian companies too. The owner of every company makes his son or daughter the CEO. for qualification points why did you compare US professional degree holder in STEM with any stream bachelor's degree holder in foreign countries? It was clearly written in the list that for foreign country professional degree holder in STEM would get 10 points and on the other hand any stream bachelor's degree holder from US gives 6 points which is not much greater than same qualification from foreign countries(5 points)

I am in USA since last 50 years and there are not enough doctors and software engineers in USA to handle work load so USA has no alternative than higher immigrants on H1 visa.

It was not a lottery based system in the beginning.
It was always a merit based system ( criteria for merit is basically getting a job offer and employer proving that they cannot find anybody local, by placing national advertisements of the same job description)
and it is still same merit based system. The employer who sponsors the visa has to prove that they cannot find an equivalent American worker, and that is why they are want to hire a foreign worker. The lottery only comes into the picture because in recent years, the applications are much more than the 65K quota. So they have to randomly pick only some applicants but still they’re all passing the same requirement of merit.
The problem happened when few years back they allowed the spouse of H1B holders ( who have H4 visa ) to also work freely without any merit requirements.
This should also apply for L4 visa which is again a dependent visa for L1 spouses who can work too in US..
