@@clutch44444You know they fucked up the damage model worse than heat. At least in heat you can take quite a lot of hits in comparison. They did fix the issue with fighting off cops (getting damaged for hitting them) but made your car so fragile to basically anything you touch and the stupid damn crash camera. GET RID OF IT. The health bar isn't really an issue if your car wasn't so stupidly fragile to the entire world. A single car can cripple you. In heat you can max top speed into a truck and take like 5 percent of damage. Unbound, instant Damage critical. Walls same issue. The swat truck? Same issue. It's not even the cops. It's just the damage system in general has been taken way too far. I rather take heats health system, than unbound completely unforgiving system.
another issue I see is when you do crash and the camera activates you take additional damage from rolling over. Heat you never had this happen ever. I'm telling you they made it worse than heat by miles 😂
I think the main star of volume 9 would be adding everything to the single-player, but there could be a chance... m3 gtr... maybe bring razor back and set him up for future?
Chicago/Lakeshore Airfield from ProStreet with legacy track layouts, time attack/hillclimb/touge events, racing suits and helmets, more ProStreet vynils and parts (spoilers, rims, roll cages), and RRRRRYANNNNNN COOOOOOOPEEEEERRRRR!
If its Most Wanted, remember when Razor wanted the M3 GTR after he came out of jail in the single player mode. He goes in the streets in the M3 and us Players must take him down, resulting in a new story/dlc and the M3 event mentioned in the video.
Don't implement it on multiplayer. Just on story mode. I don't give a single damn about multiplayer. NFS is all about single player experience from the get go. @@thewhiteknight9923
What if the Hot Pursuit was a testing the waters kind of thing that may lead to a Rivals Themed mechanic where we can be cops and racers in free roam possibly?
During the showcase of the Vol.9 "hidden tracks", I noticed that the M3 doesn't have the tow hooks, compared to the EA Play M3 GTR. Extremely interesting
Tbh as much as I like mostwanted, we already got similar system with the underground lakeshore racer league so if they ever release the mostwanted update, it's basically no new mode coming, so I'd much prefer other NFS like prostreet maybe.
I really do think ProStreet really was the most authentic to the car culture of the time, with the big HIN and Nopi events being held all over the US and as well as the world. ProStreet really was the one of the best NFS games we have ever had.
It's about time they move on ngl. They did good to this game, it wasn't as successful on launch, but cutting the development team in half, actually helps the progress of the game, but introduces more possible bugs. A new game with a new map is about time to be worked on for 2026?
I'd like to think nfs is dead. Unbound was a waste of money for me. Pants criticising tdu is fair. But nfs unbound has been doing the same. It's a full priced game that went mp only updates with a f2p mp progression model. But unbound is worthy of praise ?! Hotpursuit remastered was a better deal for me.
Seems to me that they need to do something about Off-Road. There are a lot of places for it, it would incentivize the creation of more builds and it is a whole part of vehicle customization which is virtually useless. Maybe rally fitting on a ProStreet theme?
It would be nice if they added more visual customisation for cars. Most Wanted had much simpler customisation compared to the underground games which consisted of 5 body kits per car; and universal spoilers, hoods and scoops for each car. I'm not saying do that for all available cars, but doing it for 20 or so would be nice.
Have you ever thought about if they put vol 9 with an event imitating Horizon or Motorfest, which would be "Prostreet" of legalized races in online mode and also the return of Toyota and Lexus and a new super car, but this time maybe American? SSC or Hennessey
I want to say to Criterion.. Competition comes naturally when we run together. You don't have to put users under extreme stress. Are you going to target only those who are competitive and win-thirsty? Throw away all the casual users?
Since it's focused around adding everything that's unique to the gameplay: Off-road from Payback Tuning from Underground Pursuit breakers from MW Track racing from Prostreet
I just want a new NFS game all together. Unbound was an awesome game experience. All they need is new story, new roads, new races and boom! My opinion.
Vol 9 could give us a Lakeshore variant of the Most Wanted Blacklist. It could be the next version of the League and then Racer X's car could be the M3 GTR.
Rather than a half-baked Most Wanted volume update, I prefer a Most Wanted remaster 1.1 for 2025 / 2026. Need for Speed was built on single player, current NFS devs seem so focused on multiplayer that they're forgetting their roots. If Heat thought us anything, it was that you can easily enjoy playing alone in an online map that feels alive. You could see people having their own races with bots, you could go in and help them crushing the bots. All of that is not present in Unbound (bots disappear as soon as you finish a race, same with other people racing, they disappear if they start a race.) That didn't happen in Heat & heat was for PS4/XBOX ONE. They have to bring that back to make the world feel alive, then we're talking.
Really wish they didn't just abandon single player and only updated online. I feel like going forward they just aren't gonna carry about single-player and only update online which sucks. Once servers go down you won't be able to access that stuff anymore
Well they originally built Unbound to be update heavy on the Multiplayer and separating single player and multiplayer from the jump, a heavily criticized lesson they learned early on, but that was too late to save Unbound. They’d likely break the single player if they tried implementing the MP content into single player. Heck, Volume 8 has broken the single player for me and several others without the single player changing as we haven’t been able to advance days in single player and the wrong events load up.
Carbon/Heat inspired could bring crew features back. Having a crew with a crew tag for better rewards would be great. I would create a crew like from nfs heat and level up the crew. It could be a updated better version from it. Then again I'm not sure how it would work out
Most wanted core element was the most wanted list and they could add that. Pro-street could be grouped with the Shift games as well with, like you said, track races, although unlikely.
consider that: Payback isn't a good game but have many races mode, street, drag, off-road, mission. And in Unbound we cannot creat car's category. I remember classificate playlist in payback that have mixed playlist. Race in town, off road and drift and you must select the appropriate car. I think this can be good in unbound most wanted have time attack.. and police challenge.., challeng series carbon 1 vs 1 canyon (wow)
We need a pro street like game, one that takes a real look at car culture, and not fast and furious movies, and shitty rappers. Take 2015 vibes and build from it
Funny that prostreet take on car culture still pretty much relevant to this day. If prostreet never existed and they released it now, it's still feels like a fresh concept.
maybe i am alone with this idea, but i would like to see a mapcreator, kinda like Forza Horizon 5 or GTA Online did. I personaly think this would still be in line with the "kaizen" way of improving. So they could add the mapcreator, so they can collect feedback from the players to improve it for the next game and it would give the devlopers a bit more time. So the players are able to provide tons of usergenerated contend the community can expierienc without the need of a new gamerelease. -> maybe more development time
I think we are looking at a December Release. the next community goal is in 26 days (that should be for the League number 1 spot release), then you should have 2-4 weeks to complete your season passes (I'm still at rank 30 lol).
In all honestly, it's probably gonna be the Underground 2 update. They already did u1 abd MW05, so the one left is U2. Unlessssss the underground update was based of both U1 and U2. 🤷🏻♂️ In which case, I really don't know what the update will b about.
for a most wanted update, i could see them adding an online blacklist, pinkslip races, a bounty system, maybe cross could somehow return as a character.
My Idea for the uppdate would be a combo of MW/Carbon: -Milestones for pursuits (trade paint, take downs, Bounty, CTS) -Pursuit breakers -Lap KO races -Canyon races (I think the hill sections on the map are appropriate enough) ... yeah that's as far as I have gotten.
Dude the Kaisen theory is not what you think it’s gonna be used like. It’s just a way for them to make an online update, release a car, call it a day. What I expect from a need for speed game is a super long and realistic story (involving real car takeovers, robberies, heists, races, friends and enemies), a map that I have to unlock zones from missions and earning respect, full performance customizability of my car (I’m talking nfs 2015 style), new body kits every month or so, 300 mph speeds, AGGRESSIVE COPS (license plate scanners, long term heat level, EMPS, stronger armor, cops shooting at the car). And there’s more that I want, but I guess I’m dreaming too big.
i know it would be kind of dumb but...underground 2 is 20 years old on november 9th so im thinking it could be underground 2 update with spinners open hoods and hydrolics but we did have a underground inspired update. its just a thought
Its kinda crazy to me.. while watching this video to know, that somewhere the new NFS is produced. Maybe in this secound someone spoke a voiceline in to a mic.
Heat was on my mind since the beginning of the video, glad you mentioned it. I personally think there are tons of aspects they can pull from Heat to improve the game, with the main part being the duality of Day and Night. Day would bring the Prostreet like stated, and Night could see the return of high stake-high reward races. however, that sounds too good to be true.
Wonder why cosworth escort didn't return because prostreet and shift 1 and 2 legend was a such a good car it seems need for speed has forgetten about one car needed back
What I loved about 2015 is the real world people that it featured. I know bringing current car celebrities to unbound is not probable with the cell-shaded styling (tho we did have asap rocky so idk). Something like this would take a lot of time, money and effort that I don't see them putting in this far into the game's life cycle. The reason 2015 is my second favorite nfs is because of the important automotive figures it featured (like Akira Nakai and Ken Block(rest in peace legend)) I would love to see real world characters return for a future game. People like Adam LZ, Rob Dahm, James from Speeed, hell bring back Nakai and Magnus too. And I'd love to see Kyza cars featured again like in heat.
Although Heat sounds lovely, I would love two features that was featured in another recent NfS. Superbuilds and hot-rods from NfS Payback. I want to have the ability to turn some low-tier cars (at least visually) into absolutely bonkers builds that are further customisable. And I want the non-F1 hot-rod back.
In my opinion Rivals had the greatest implementation of cops vs racers theme (meaning in PvP sense, not like in Most Wanted), pursuit breakers would be also appreciated but honestly given how the game physics work right now, dont think they would do a great job at implementing that (you having destroyable car and all). Cant really see working pursuit tech to fight the cops/racers fitting in this game as well. Welp gentlemen, it seems like we are in for a surprise.
The crowd here thinks we should be grateful for these updates as they were free. Forgetting that this is a full priced release and should have had everything and more during launch. Singleplayer is still bad.
Maybe deeper customization on top of what's already there thats inspired by all the black box era games (so stuff like carbon/prostreet autosculpt or Underground 2 items like doors, nos purge, sound system, etc). That's the only other element I could think of to really add.
Ill hope its Heat themed so we get a possibility to use story and online cars offline and online and the new deift physics in story mode… Because Story mode is dead
dynamic day and night cycle with a reworked cop system with a few new customisations for fan favroute cars. if its the final update and they want to go out with a huge bang possibly Toyota??!
Imagine if they started a MW playlist with story cutouts hinting at, for instance, the 2012 beta and ending on a cliffhanger as we wait for the new game, that would be sick as hell
I cant seem to find a answer to this question but maybe someone in the comments can help: If you play NFS unbound on PS5 do you need ps+ or EA+ account to play online
We already basically have it in essence like pro street with speed races and with the way the races are run is similar. I wanna see moldable bodykits from carbon and also a high definition run of canyon races..... also from carbon
It should be 2005 Most Wanted themed bringing back Razor and doing a map expansion adding Rockport to the map as for gameplay bringing back task-based level up hitting the bounty, number of races and milestones, and adding the element of a takedown from 2012 most wanted, or they can bring back pink slips for special blacklist cars. Give us the BMW and bring back Razor in the new Mustang or a Shelby as the Blacklist number 1 to be taken down once again or play as Razor to become the top giving us another perspective of the Most Wanted storyline. They should also bring some of the OG cars from Most Wanted like the Carrera GT, SLR McLaren, and more because we have not seen those cars with good modifications available since 2005 Most Wanted. That truly would be the ultimate Need for Speed and the best Update ever.
If i remember correct they had one more volume planned for november, im guessing it's slightly delayed or it's getting confirmed at any moment. But its hard given the huge amount of criterion that is at battlefield
They should bring back the customization rating, just like on nfsu2, and bring together all the other customization options like subwoofers, scissor doors, etc
The customization update. Lolololol Time to add all those ricer aspects. Lemme customize the engine, the color of the exhausts for god knows why, and also add speakers and stuff to the trunk. XD
maybe NFS Underground 2 with speakers, lambo and suicide door, hydraulics. Most Wanted with blacklists inside with races and bounty to be collected, Pro Street with all the kings, Carbon also with 3 big crews and canyon races. MAYBE, my suggestions. Whole new maps connected to palm spring, rockport, bayview
Theory which game it would be inspired by aside, if it would be MW, the playlist could be a blacklist inspired playlist from MW, just throwing it out there, i think i like the blacklist idea the most from MW, since it gives the steady feeling of progression, to beat something greater and greater. But maybe that's just cope, i honestly hope they would make a MW remake of some sort, even the MW 2012 blacklist wasn't bad, there was no people in this game but they managed to give the cars some character with the intros. I would really like to see something like that in unbound, or a remake if not in unbound.
I have a theory, what if the the final update is as story expansion on single player mode because it’s the most NFS thing. Without a story it’s just another Racing game. What would I like to see is an story expansion which leads to a cliff hanger to the next NFS title that would be lit 🔥to see no buddy has done it yet other that NFS carbon which was the basically part 2 of NFS Most Wanted
@BlackPanthaa what you think about if maybe the Criterion wanna revives the NFS Payback concenption for example? I mean play in small teams. I know the most popular episode is the Most Wanted but in my opinion the story of the Payback was impressive because that broke up with tradition and we could play three different types of character (Tyler "Ty" Morgan, Sean "Mac" McAlister and Jessica "Jess" Miller). Of course I don't say that they will come back or Criterion will bring back them, but the concent of that game was interenting. And more thing and this is just a theory from me but I think the all NFS episodes what released from the first Underground till the Unbound are connecting to each other. I mean the villains is in all episodes is the same. If you just think about it you will figure it out we never see who moves the threads in the back. What you think about it?
I just hope for the next game to bring back the pvpve races from heat so you can race friends in a casual setting and still have more than just you and one or two of your friends. As well keeping the speedlist pvp racing
There are many ways to incorporate Cops vs racers in free roam, but instead so many people act like ramming and griefing never existed without cops, so I'm just going to repeat my suggestion I have made in other posts to mitigate and address the issue: Private Lobbies and lobbies that can are PVE (only ai cops) and PVP Cops vs Racers free roam lobby. The more cop players there are the less ai there will be and the less player racers, the less ai roaming racers you will find just to keep the other side somewhat entertained. If all lobby suggestions are impossible, then allow player racers to set a passive mode for the Heat level in which player cops are allowed to chase them at (Heat level 6 overrides and disables passive mode since the racer ends up accumulating a high bounty on them, calling all cops and racers to their location to either pursue or protect). All cops and racers can see all players of the same faction on the map but not the enemy faction, unless they are in close proximity of each other and/or in a chase. The racer disappears of the mini map of the cop should they break visual line of sight and are escaping. If a player has a high bounty and enters heat level 6, cops earn a reward for successfully busting the most wanted driver, and all racers in the lobby get a reward for successfully protecting the most wanted driver and ensuring they escape from all cops and heat level 6. Finally, free roam cop cars do not need pursuit tech and infinite NOS. If players want to use pursuit tech and infinite NOS then they should play the hot pursuit playlists. However, If players want pursuit tech and infinite NOS in free roam so badly, then they could host a private lobby which allows them to separately toggle whether pursuit tech and infinite NOS are allowed or not.
Maybe it's heat! With the Bikes that were supposed to be in the Game. Orrr Most Wanted with a Black list where you can play against people for a chance at their car???

If they do revamp the cops they should take away that fucking health bar bullshit, make the cops better, rather than nerfing the player
@@clutch44444 yes i always hated the health bar, when you have infinite health, cops can be harder and chases will be more chaotic, just like in mw
@@yzkn8848 Precisely my thoughts
I'm with this guy 👊
Imagine they did a story expansion but it's WAY better than the current story🔥🔥
If its Most Wanted, remember when Razor wanted the M3 GTR after he came out of jail in the single player mode. He goes in the streets in the M3 and us Players must take him down, resulting in a new story/dlc and the M3 event mentioned in the video.
Sorry to tell you this, but I don't think that delivery mission is cannon and that this game takes place in a separate continuity
@@aidenwolock6668 I don't mind, its just a game theory after all.
Wish they had the speedbreaker option they had from most wanted to undercover. ❤
Problem is how you implement it into realtime pvp

Extremely interesting
it must be nfs most wanted themed: online blacklists
top 15 blacklist
win required races
win the blacklist race
take his/her car
rinse and repeat
Tbh as much as I like mostwanted, we already got similar system with the underground lakeshore racer league so if they ever release the mostwanted update, it's basically no new mode coming, so I'd much prefer other NFS like prostreet maybe.
Bring back some older cars, like the 05 mustang (my personal dream car anyway🤣)
I really do think ProStreet really was the most authentic to the car culture of the time, with the big HIN and Nopi events being held all over the US and as well as the world. ProStreet really was the one of the best NFS games we have ever had.
Always was and always will be my favorite NFS ❤
Nfs carbon, underground and mw 2005 were my favourites
@@juicebox2000my fave too
Watch them start to add onto the map with the old maps as a updated world. Drive from unbound's map to heat's map and drive to payback's map and to 15
i don't think this will be the last update
I hope you're right 😂
@@BlackPanthaatwin actually replied dats love right there
It's about time they move on ngl. They did good to this game, it wasn't as successful on launch, but cutting the development team in half, actually helps the progress of the game, but introduces more possible bugs. A new game with a new map is about time to be worked on for 2026?
They won't move on unfortunately, "ultimate nfs experience" hints they won't probably do any other new NFS.
Underground 2 tuning and dyno area was so lit.
This looks 20x better than the last time ive seen NFS Unbound ngl. Still dont like the effects but NFS Heat was a 9/10 for me so theres always hope 😂
You can turn off the effect on the car, but the people still looks cartoon so it's a bit jarring but who cares you don't see the driver often anyway.
You can turn off the cartoon affects and other than the anime characters it ain’t bad miles better than heat gameplay wise
Imagine if they dropped a bomb on us and it would be the Toyota update
not possible
@@talord_would be incredible though every lobby would be all supras really
SSC or Hennessey
what if we get a somewhat sequel to Heat's story??
the canyon racing system from carbon would go hard
I want to say to Criterion..
Competition comes naturally when we run together. You don't have to put users under extreme stress.
Are you going to target only those who are competitive and win-thirsty? Throw away all the casual users?
I said prostreet in my head, or undercover for stealing and delivering cars and cops everywhere?

I just want the glitch wave fixed, I will sit on this game for 8 years so long as this one thing is fixed.
Honestly, from the bottom of my heart, I hope it's not most wanted, carbon, heat, prostreet is what I want to see.
than you for mentioning the idea I mentioned ones (a prostreet update)
Since it's focused around adding everything that's unique to the gameplay:
Off-road from Payback
Tuning from Underground
Pursuit breakers from MW
Track racing from Prostreet
Can't wait to see what it is, Great video ❤️
It could be most wanted we are reaching the 20th anniversary of the game!
A need for speed the run type experience would be a good idea.
Wouldn't mind a prostreet themed update it's my number one favourite nfs
I think this can be good in unbound
most wanted have time attack.. and police challenge.., challeng series
carbon 1 vs 1 canyon (wow)
It has to be most wanted
NFS Most Wanted has a very special place in my heart forever
We need a pro street like game, one that takes a real look at car culture, and not fast and furious movies, and shitty rappers. Take 2015 vibes and build from it
haha hater much!. Too bad for you. IT AIN"T GONNA HAPPEN!!
Funny that prostreet take on car culture still pretty much relevant to this day. If prostreet never existed and they released it now, it's still feels like a fresh concept.
@@tompramanaaccount8892 thats cause pro street take on car culture its just real car culture is, car mets, track days, spec racing, drift events etc
@@SpeedTex ok enjoy your car FIFA then
Another Festival racer? Hell fucking no, just play Forza Horizon already
I personally think it is a Carbon update. The Canyon Run... the game mode racing from top to bottom of the mountain
maybe i am alone with this idea, but i would like to see a mapcreator, kinda like Forza Horizon 5 or GTA Online did.
In which case, I really don't know what the update will b about.
for a most wanted update, i could see them adding an online blacklist, pinkslip races, a bounty system, maybe cross could somehow return as a character.
Criterion can do the funniest thing right now and make vol 9 a most wanted (2012) themed season
My Idea for the uppdate would be a combo of MW/Carbon:
-Milestones for pursuits (trade paint, take downs, Bounty, CTS)
-Pursuit breakers
-Lap KO races
-Canyon races (I think the hill sections on the map are appropriate enough)
... yeah that's as far as I have gotten.
The excitement is oozing!, Fantastico
Maybe in this secound someone spoke a voiceline in to a mic.
cool right?
We need an update for the racer’s so we can stand a chance to win against the s+ cops
Or like add a new tier like S+ super cars then X for hyper cars
Maybe vol.9 can possibly be inspired by most wanted maybe possibly or maybe carbon with the down hill races
Welp gentlemen, it seems like we are in for a surprise.
here is an idea: retro graphics switch with multiple options so that we can choose if we want the modern look or for example most wanted 05 look
Sounds like it took this long to make a full game. All these updates should be in the game from the start!
The crowd here thinks we should be grateful for these updates as they were free. Forgetting that this is a full priced release and should have had everything and more during launch. Singleplayer is still bad.
@@dr.sivavignesh664 agree 👍
Maybe deeper customization on top of what's already there thats inspired by all the black box era games (so stuff like carbon/prostreet autosculpt or Underground 2 items like doors, nos purge, sound system, etc). That's the only other element I could think of to really add.
About what you said, I don't think they gonna add MW or Pro Street, and Heat is better . They gonna put MW and further in the next game
Blacklist dlc for single player and a better soundtrack is all I want.
Ill hope its Heat themed so we get a possibility to use story and online cars offline and online and the new deift physics in story mode…

Interior can cause another copyright cost
I cant seem to find a answer to this question but maybe someone in the comments can help:

On PlayStation you need ps+ to access multiplayer in any game... Ea play is just for some in game items... So yes u need ps+ for unbound mp

We already basically have it in essence like pro street with speed races and with the way the races are run is similar. I wanna see moldable bodykits from carbon and also a high definition run of canyon races..... also from carbon
I think it's will be MW2012 or Maybe something Like NFS Porsche Unleashed or even Undercover/The Run
Might be working on a new NFS if they not bringing anymore volumes to focus on a new game ( idk this is just my theory
Lolololol
Time to add all those ricer aspects. Lemme customize the engine, the color of the exhausts for god knows why, and also add speakers and stuff to the trunk. XD
a most wanted update should be the next update.
maybe NFS Underground 2 with speakers, lambo and suicide door, hydraulics. Most Wanted with blacklists inside with races and bounty to be collected, Pro Street with all the kings, Carbon also with 3 big crews and canyon races. MAYBE, my suggestions. Whole new maps connected to palm spring, rockport, bayview
My prediction for me is that next year probably is gonna be a year 2 update of nfs unbound with more volumes and more activities, cars etc
cant believe this is going to be the final update for NFS Unbound! 🙁
@10:53 Theo: *AHHH!*
if it was most wanted they would add a blacklist and the blacklist cars as of obtainable by doing challanges
Cop difficulty settings and pursuit breakers would be cool
I have a good feeling something big will happen at least im hoping that happens
If something is gonna be added, maybe the speed trap races from NFSMW05 are are gonna get added?
ProStreet or Shift themed would actually be sick.
There are many ways to incorporate Cops vs racers in free roam, but instead so many people act like ramming and griefing never existed without cops, so I'm just going to repeat my suggestion I have made in other posts to mitigate and address the issue:
Private Lobbies and lobbies that can are PVE (only ai cops) and PVP Cops vs Racers free roam lobby.
3 things I need in update 9
1.private lobbies
2. Playable cops in lobbies
3. New bodykits for cars already in the game
Maybe it's heat! With the Bikes that were supposed to be in the Game. Orrr Most Wanted with a Black list where you can play against people for a chance at their car???
