I doubt it was ever true....Right now, boxes are worth 200$, so you need 50$ worth of cardboard for each pack. You opened about 100$. (And I'm being generous with that figure; I didn't write down all the different values) Even if that lgs store owner meant "cmm boxes are worth it *in aggregate*" I don't feel like spending 600$ to find out.
