Kevin, I am an archivist and just about jumped out of my chair when you started going through that box of ephemera! That is my wheelhouse! I don't sell it but I work with it everyday in an archive. I also watch eBay for any of this kind of ephemera for my county archive and I have bought some. Some of those envelopes can go for about $5 a piece but they would have to be listed individually. If you decide not to sell them, please consider finding an archive to donate them. I would take them in an instant if you want to go that route, I would love to have them. They are very important to history.
Taking time out of your day to personalize a card by signing is thoughtful. I've received personal messages, cards and signatures from non-social media resellers and always appreciate the personal touch. Why wouldn't I appreciate it from those on social media. Ignore the complainers, they will always find something to grouse about :)
That box you bought has some wonderful history in it. Good buy! The paper stamps and postal inked stamps could make a lot of them worth money to collectors and history buffs. But as a former history teacher, you should have a blast going through it. :) Keep signing those cards! I think it's a sweet gesture to your customers!

That box of ephemera is so cool! Maybe you could have BRM do a Whatnot auction for that stuff and she could read what each item is or do batches and give an overview of what's in each batch. I'd pay $5 for that potato article just because of the way she presented it and I'm betting others would too😁 My Go 2 Tape is awesome...I bought 2 packs last time I ordered so I'm set for a while because stuff in my store moves about as fast as I do😂
Don't stop signing the cards to please other people. I kept one for myself. Then the extras I give to others. If they are just starting out on ebay. You are a great source to learn from and you also give reference for other ebayers. So they have a broader learning base with you. Keep up the great work.
11:20 $20 was an excellent buy for that lot. I collect stamps, and it is very much a treasure hunt because of how many different printings and misprints there are for each year. You could have them appraised in the hopes of finding the holy grail or you could auction off in lots of 5-10 and let the collectors treasure hunt.

My Go 2 Tape My birthday was two days ago and I was also born in the best year ever…1977. As for signing your cards, do whatever makes you happy. So a new reseller, I actually hand write ALL of my thank you notes and sign them. At some point I’ll probably have to change that but I think people give me positive feedback because of that personalized touch. When I first began selling, way before eBay, I was taught that everything sent out should have something personal, such as a little note, and I agree with that. The personal touch is so important, especially in this day of so much division in this country. One of my hobbies is creating monoprints with my gel plate. I use some of those monoprints to make small one-of-a-kind cards to include with each order. I enjoy the making and take the opportunity to create the cards while watching a movie. It's just a simple note on a pretty piece of paper, but it's something of me. I do enjoy your videos so much. Here's hoping the 4th quarter perks up a bit for everyone.

Being in the newspaper business for nearly 50 years, pictures of odd-shaped vegetables are nothing new to me. I've seen it all -- duck-taped potatoes; conjoined carrots that looked like a cow's udder; you name it, I've probably seen it. I especially didn't like mushroom-hunting season, because everybody and his brother would bring in their large mushroom to have a picture taken (and not to get too graphic, but a lot of them were bordering on the obscene, if you catch my drift.) It go to the point where we would have to measure the length of the mushroom and the circumference of the head. The next person who who came in had to have a larger mushroom than the previous, or else we wouldn't take a photo. Deer hunting season was another time in which were we inundated with hunters wanting their picture taken with their dead deer. Thankfully, a lot of that has stopped over the years but trust me, it was a very common thing. BTW, don't let the distractors stop you from signing your cards. I always try to include a handwritten note when I ship out packages to buyers.
Once you cherry pick the ephemera for the ones that have value, I would lot up the leftovers and sell them as “Junk Journal Ephemera” packs. Crafters love to repurpose those old papers….My Go 2 Tape.

Oh, so love the box of ephemera. Slow making profits with it sometimes but oh so fun going through it and learning history and learning about Stamps.
Blocks of stamps sell for hundreds of dollars fom the 1920s. Still some collectors out there that would be interested.

I've seen it all -- duck-taped potatoes; conjoined carrots that looked like a cow's udder; you name it, I've probably seen it. I especially didn't like mushroom-hunting season, because everybody and his brother would bring in their large mushroom to have a picture taken (and not to get too graphic, but a lot of them were bordering on the obscene, if you catch my drift.) It go to the point where we would have to measure the length of the mushroom and the circumference of the head. The next person who who came in had to have a larger mushroom than the previous, or else we wouldn't take a photo. Deer hunting season was another time in which were we inundated with hunters wanting their picture taken with their dead deer. Thankfully, a lot of that has stopped over the years but trust me, it was a very common thing. BTW, don't let the distractors stop you from signing your cards. I always try to include a handwritten note when I ship out packages to buyers.

Once you cherry pick the ephemera for the ones that have value, I would lot up the leftovers and sell them as “Junk Journal Ephemera” packs. Crafters love to repurpose those old papers….My Go 2 Tape.
