The girls' performance in Arunachal Pradesh is a breathtaking tapestry of the state’s rich tribal heritage. It beautifully weaves together the unique cultural elements of various tribes. Their performance is more than just a display of talent. It’s a joyous celebration of unity in diversity.
Adorned in traditional attire, reflecting the distinct artistry of their tribes, the performers exude a sense of pride and love for their cultural roots. Their synchronized steps, lively expressions, and harmonious movements radiate a thriving spirit, echoing the resilience and harmony of Arunachal’s people.
Thanks to Birola and Rex Boro for allowing us to play their song. The original song and video are available on RUclips. Please see the description for more details.
This isn't their orginal song, the original song (apatani version)was written way before the bodo version, but the singers of the Bodo version produced it earlier after getting the permission from the orginal writer (apatani)
That's good to know. I am just a person with a camera at the right place at the right time, acknowledging and appreciating the contribution of individuals and communities who work tirelessly to keep traditions alive in meaningful and respectful ways. I took a few of my friends to the festival, but many decided to stay home due to Delhi's pollution and poor air quality at this time of the year. They know now what they missed.
Hi BEING_MISHMI, they came to remind me about my childhood memories of the Apatanies. I could not return after my brief stay in Hapoli /Ziro and Daporijo between 1980 and 1982. I did my class 3rd from Sec. School Hapoli.
