MY SECOND RUclips CHANNEL FOR BEGINNERS (RUSSIAN LEVEL 1) - / @russianlevel1
ABOUT
This video is all about Russian listening practice. A couple of months ago I published a similar listening test with 100 Russian sentences for beginners. You guys told me that it was very useful, so I decided to make another video for you to practice your Russian listening comprehension, but this time with slightly more difficult phrases for intermediate learners.
You’ll hear 50 short sentences in Russian, and each sentence will be repeated three times. The first two times there will be no subtitles. You should listen carefully and try to guess what I say in Russian. Then the recording will be played again, and the Russian sentence with its English translation will be displayed on the screen, so you can check the answer.
Remember that if you repeatedly listen to the pronunciation of native Russian speakers, it will really improve your Russian listening comprehension!

I really appreciate the time and effort making these videos. I usually download the audio to listen to in my car while I drive. Please next time, you do a video like this, please add the spoken translation of each sentence. Thanks again
thank you very much . I enjoy from Turkey . I am polyglot . I am learning russian with you . thanks again
You are very welcome!
An excellent idea to speak without subtitles and I hope to listen more sentences for intermediate and advanced students ! Thanks !!!!
Hab beim erstern Mal kaum die Hälfte verstanden, inzwischen geht's viel besser - danke!!
Привет из Норвегии! Это супер! Спасибо!
Привет, спасибо!
YES!! This is help in Russian at my level. Thank you so much.
You're very welcome, Michael!
Как приятно видеть, что столько человек учит русский как иностранный)
Мне очень нравятся это видео. Отличная помочь! Привет из Германии.
This type of exercise IS SO VALUABLE. I Listened to it at least 4 times and will click on a random spot daily. I don't know how important it is to hear how you slur the end of some words into what sounds like the start of the next word as part of the language. The more of these the better. Thank you
You´re welcome, Peter! I have a similar video with easier phrases ruclips.net/video/0FFg214Hu2g/видео.html
Спасибо большое! This was very beneficial to me. I struggled understanding most of the sentences as a whole, but I knew phrases here and there in most of them and it made me feel great, like maybe I actually am learning. And when I actually understood a few entire sentences, it was amazing. Thank you for taking the time to do this for us learners out here in the world. I like your channel a lot for my level and look forward to watching much more!
Glad it was helpful! I´m sure you´ll understand even more sentences as a whole if you watch the video a couple of times!
I could understand around 30-40 perfectly and with the others there was usually just one word that I didn't understand. I think my Russian listening is progressing well :D
You in the zone! Ты в ударе!
Спасибо большое вы очень крутая!!!👍
Спасибо, Хуан!
A useful exercise. Listening to Russian TV, radio or RUclips for me is often like listening to a radio station with bad reception in English - it slips in and out of being comprehensible. But in these bite-size chunks it is a handy way to train.
This trype of course helps a lot. Thanks. Большое спасибо!
Glad to hear that!
Thank you very much for that video. The fact that you repeat each time three time really helps to practice oral comprehension. And translation at the end, allow to understand what we did not manage only by hearing. Great. I will be happy if you do more like this...
Will do, thanks!
Я использовал упражнение как диктант, сделав около десяти орфографических ошибок. В большинстве случаев мне удавалось понять предложение с первого раза. Спасибо большое за ваш труд, Кристина, это очень полезно! 🙏🌹
Отличный результат, Паоло! Рада помочь
Excellent work! Thank you for your efforts!
Many thanks!
klassna video! spasibo.
Не за что!
This channel is one of best hands down
Thanks, Dylan!
This is perfect for me. I hope you will do more.
Your accent is slightly difficult for me, but it is good for me to practice hearing something I'm not used to.
Please do more of these!!!
Thank you, I will!
I understood about 85%. Very good video. Thank you for these super helpful videos !
Wow, amazing result!
It's very much useful спасибо 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
You're welcome 😊
Я поняла все предложения 🎊😊Спасибо Кристина🌸
Не за что! Отличный результат!
Another amazing lesson (even though I didn't do so well). Thanks very much, Kristina for the time and effort you put into your videos - they are superb!
Glad it was helpful! I´m sure you´ll do better if you watch the video a couple of times!
Пожалуйста, сделайте такое видео для тех, у которых уровень выше В2! Было бы супер полезное! Спасибо большое за ваш труд! :)

Thank you so much, just a little harder in the next video 💪😊
Will do, thanks for watching!
Hello my mother language ist croatian and ca. 60% of words sound same or similar to Russian. I'm learning so fast with your videos. Thank you
That's great! Wow, I didn´t realize than Croatian was so similar to Russian!
Happy New Year and a merry Christmas. Your videos are a great help.
Thanks Ron! Happy New Year!
I got 47 correct! Спасибо!))
Amazing result Julie!
So well done ! 2 times oral and then with subtitles, it's really a good way to practice the listening and to learn words and grammar also. Especially when doing it several times. Something great would be to have the pdf with english one side russian the other, we could retrieve the russian phrases from the english ones. You could sell that to those interested, that would get you some money from your outstanding work for us. Greetings from France.
I´m selling something similar here boostyourrussianbooks.com/
Hi, Kristina! Thanks a million for this video. I got more than half of the sentence right! I noticed I had problems with some verbs I haven't practiced conjugating in the past tense. Besides that, through listening and reding, I learned how to use several verbs I already knew and also learned more about Russian sentence construction. Excelent. thanks to your video. Thumbs up and hat off to you!
Thanks Roberto! I´m so glad you´re making progress with my videos. More than half of the sentences right on the first go is a great result!
@@BoostYourRussian love your videos! They're informative and challenging at the same time! Thanks a lot for your time and effort! 🙏👍🏼
Another excellent addition to your body of teaching videos. To read these phrases is rather easy. Understanding them spoken-- a little hard :(
Keep practicing, over time, it´ll get easier to understand spoken Russian, I promise!
Вот я нашёл. Я думаю что это видео очень полезный для меня. Спасибо за видео🙏
Рада помочь!
I could understand all of them. Great video, keep making them.
That´s amazing, congrats! What´s your level? Advanced?
We want more video like these please, 👌👌👌
You can find more videos like this on on my second channel called Russian Level 1
THANK YOU SOOO MUCH AND MORE LIKE THIS ONE PLEASE
Will do, thanks!
30 sentences written correctly (what I did is to listen the first time and then I wrote the sentence to check out)
10 in which I mispelled some word
10 in which I didn't know a word
I think it's not bad, or maybe yes, but I loved it!!
please keep on doing more videos like this, спасибо большое!!!
This is an excellent result, Mara! I really mean it. I´m sure that if you do the exercise again, you´ll write almost all sentences correctly
@@BoostYourRussian gonna do it, thank you for your words!!
Спасибо за полезное видео!
Не за что!

Thanks a lot.All videos are very helpfull)))
Glad to hear that!
This kind of thing is VERY helpful. I can usually make myself understood in ungrammatical Russian, but when they talk, I get lost easily.
Очень полезно; all your work is worth. Enhorabuena!
Many thanks, José María!
I understood most of them. In fact very good video
That´s amazing, congrats!
Большое спасибо Кристина. This is very useful. (it helps if you don't give the English translation immediately)
Thank you!
You're welcome!
The best always
very very good. This is the best way to learn quickly. Merci ;-)

A much-needed improvement to add the words in writ. Thank you.
Thank you very much for this interesting dictation.
No problem, Martin!
Огромное спасибо за это видео! Действительно интересно и полезно.
На самом деле я понял всё, наверняка потому что ты не быстро говорила. 😁
Ну может я говорила немного медленнее обычного ;)

Please make a second Intermediate Listening Practice video.
Will do!
Hey I know I asked this before but what would my Russian level be if I heard around 35-40 correctly? btw your videos are super helpful!
Thanks. I didn't actually recognise many words, but then I don't know many. I don't know if there's any way else to define the process. I do know that reading along is getting easier although I'm not sure how much of that is due to not being very familiar with Cyrillic and how much just plugging the new sounds into something.
Привет,спасибо за видео!
У меня есть вопрос по поводу десятого предложения;
Вы перевели "учить" как "studying" ,но "учить" не означает ли "to teach"?
Спасибо заранее)
Учить значит "to study", но в десятом предложении используется "учиться" (to learn)
there were 3 sentences that i didn't understand just with the listening because i haven't heard the word before, and there were 4 sentences that i understood different, i mean, i interpret them like that, for example the second sentence, the first time i thought that it was: when you come, will you apologize with him?
did anyone have a similar problem?
Всё понятно
I did not know the word истекать, I could guess that it means "expire". I wish I do not have to guess next time.
It was easy for me to understand these phrases, in spite of the fact that my level is lower than intermediate
That´s great! Your listening skills must be at intermediate level while your speaking, reading or writing are at lower level (pre-intermediate, I guess?).
Откуда, откуда, от верблюда
Я понимал почти 40%.
Отличный результат для первого раза!
could you tell me where I can find the Sherlock Holmes books, I loved the one you did on ou tube) THX
Hi Peter, my graded readers are not available for sale now because I´m updating them. When it´s done, I´ll publish them here boostyourrussianbooks.com/
I suggest the following: First pass, no subtitles. Second pass, Russian text only. Third pass, English translation as subtitles. It's too much to process both Russian and English on the third time.
I knew most of the words, I was surprised at how much I understood, but sometimes I would mix things up, for example, I thought you were watching fishing on TV. 🤣
Hahahaha it´s ok! You´ll get better at this over time. It just takes some time to train your ear to understand spoken Russian :)
11:10 к сожалению , Does it sound like "к сажелению " ?
It does. But actually it's sound more like "к сажелению"
It sounds like "к сажылению"
Why cannot "Я забыла свой зонт в такси" be translated "I forgot my umbrella in the taxi", which is what it says, instead of " I left my umbrella behind in the taxi", which is not what it says? I find it frustrating, because I know enough Russian to see the difference, but the new learners do not. "Left behind" is not more polite or preferable in any way to "forgot". It only sounds more deliberate.
Один предложение
There is a proverb saying.." Recognizing the truth is a virtue "...I felt that I'm so stupid with Raussian language....🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Haha it definitely takes a lot of time and effort to learn Russian!
This phrase 'Мне кое-что нужно сделать вечером' has not been correctly translated. The right translation should be: ' I need to do something in the evening' or ' I need something to do in the evening'.
The phrase means "I have some (specific) plans for the evening." And it seems that your versions have different meaning.
Я помнила все
Где, где, в рифму ответить?
Ну намана
OMG I can only catch когда я in the first sentence.
Maybe foreign language is not my thing :(
Keep listening, it´ll get better!
I need some political words in russian launguage plz and thank you
