hii Nitin sir....first time I see Ur videos of learning watercolour..... it's very much helpful for bigginers. n specially for woman's who loves to learn but can't afford to get outside. ...as a doctor I can't get much time to go somewhere n learn but I thanks to u ....for such a lovely demonstration....I love to paint in watercolour media..... hope I learn each n every aspect of watercolour FM u sir... . thank you once again.
In the video you say there will be a link for the pencil in the description but it doesn't seem to be there. Could you tell me what kind of pencil you use? Love your work!!
Sir, we should make a individual areas by sketching .. But whenever we do this much of light and dark shades on our painting , it can spoil our watercolour shades . I mean some pencil shades reamains after complete a watercolour painting . Is this a Recommendation for for sketching only or it's must necessary for watercolour? Please reply me.... I am learner. And I love your tips.
Thank you for a grand lesson. You are correct in stating that the preparation for a watercolor painting is often overlooked. I have several questions about that. I am not a good drawer and have used graphite paper to trace the drawing but it washes away as soon the water touches the paper. Any input on this would be appreciated. Also I would if watercolor paper should be stretched, then dried, then a drawing applied? Thank you. EDDIE
Hi Eddie, i would rather suggest you to stop using graphite paper for drawing. Spend little time on sketching daily and you will realize u don't need to trace drawing. Let's do this way - get a watercolor paper > paste them on hard board with masking tape > start sketching on paper directly > after your sketch start layering your painting (see this video- ruclips.net/video/3zObkGew0gc/видео.html). You don't need to stretched your paper or dried before sketching. Hope this helpful.
Thank you very much for your tutorials! Your paintings are beautifully done. Could you tell me what kind of pencil and pencil # that you use to draw on the actual watercolour paper just before you start painting?
i realy enjoy watching your Videos. i learned a Lot. I would love to take a look at your sketchbooks. So maybe you can Show us the books in a video? :)

how does a self taught person that started to paint in her early 50's sketch effectively when I have had no proper instruction. I can reproduce weirdly enough, but I feel I need better sketching. I realize pencil pressure is key, and no to over work but I get caught up in keeping it simple and still overwork, and not good either.
Depends on the yellow. Your options are generally green or orange, of course including the desaturated versions of those two which are olive and brown. Try adding black to various yellows and you will understand what I mean. It's just a quirk with how our eyes and brain perceive "dark yellow". The light source will affect the shadow color so you should consider how it may affect the color also.
Nitin Singh Great to know that you're based in Bangalore sir. I just meant your original native as your surname and accent shows. May b I can ever get a chance to meet you while in India and learn a bit from such a great teacher
bhai hindi me bhi banao videos . indian ho afteral aur ye video jyada logo tak pouch payega.. views jyada badegi... . angrez to chale gye bhai.. aap apne desh ke liye kuch kre.
Perhaps English is not your native language? "Guys" is a workaround for the lack of a distinct 2nd person plural, which was "ye" in the past. It does not refer to one sex in particular. Others you may hear used are "all of you", "you guys", ""y'all" (you all), or even more rare ones like "you'ns" (you ones), "yous", etc.
This tutorial demonstrates the importance of sketching when applied to watercolor. Thank you, Nitin.
This is what the internet SHOULD be. Inspiring and educational. Marvelous stuff!
You are a natural born teacher! I hope you continue! Thanks so much!!

sir , please suggest me how to paint shades for different colors. I mean, if the object's color is yellow, what color would be the shade in?
Sure Piyush :)

A sketch is the equivalent of sheet of music for the musician.
