Really random question great video as always so thank you for that but my passenger door is not opening the only way I can think to try and look at it is to remove the bench seat and then the door card do you think it’s possible to get it away or off from the inside with the door shut ?? Thanks
Thanks man great info! I also have a CRL dealer close and I really like the looks of them so probably going that way as well. I’ll have to be super gentle with the slider!
Yeah so far so good on the CRL Windows, but you have to be careful with them because the mechanism is super delicate. I’ve heard decent things about the VWD sliders BTW the only thing I don’t like about them personally is how much black mask there is on the window. Almost 1/3 of the area is covered which is why I like the OEM sliders, I haven’t been able to find them for a good deal yet though :(
Hey check our audio install and sound deadening videos for what we did here. We put all the 3M insulation on the door panel side and added hybrid sound deadening to the door.
Awesome! Thank you for letting us know it was helpful. One thing we encountered recently on the drivers side during our Audio install project this last week was breaking the little white clip seen here in this video at 2:55. The part numbers are: - The drivers side (left in the US): 907727150064 - The passengers side (right in the US): 907727160064 Just in case anyone else faces this issue!
Hey I used this trim removal kit amzn.to/3xjLz3J. I used the metal fork piece and then another plastic piece from that kit to protect the paint. It shows up here in my other video - ruclips.net/video/hFDmN5kshK8/видео.htmlsi=Z75otPECAHDNyVY9&t=691 Hope this helps!
Straight to the point. Excellent info! Nice effects! Pro video quality and editing. I will check out your others when I'm done with the stereo / sub install. Thanks!
Are you talking about the side windows? We put CR Laurence windows in. It was our first video. Honestly if I were to do it again I think I would probably try to get the OEM Mercedes windows somehow. We have bunk sliders in our flares.
How did you release the lock pull knob at the top of the panel? My panel is stuck at that point and I can't figure out how to get it to release from that point.
That door lock knob has a bezel piece that surrounds it that clips out of the door panel. Sorry I didn’t highlight that well enough. mbparts.mbusa.com/oem-parts/mercedes-benz-lock-knob-bezel-90772703009051 If you check the link it’s item 6 which gives you an idea of what it looks like. If I remember right its slide it up a bit and then push it out toward the window. Hope this helps!
Got it. I found it on an unrelated video. I was incorrectly trying to lift the panel over the pull knob and was worried I might break something. Thanks
@@DarrenOverby Great news! Feel free to link that here if you think it will help others in the future. Thanks for calling this out and glad you got it figured out!
If anyone is reading this, the bezel needs to be twisted 90 degrees then it pops right off. The part of the bezel closest to the rear of the car should be twisted towards the outside of the car.
I have a rattle in that door after a speaker upgrade. Sounds like a potential loose screw or something left behind from stereo install guys. Going to take the door panel off and give it a look and sound deaden while in there.
Yeah there’s a lot of little areas that can rattle inside the door! The little foam tape on the back of the heads of the clips helped me on one rattle where I missed on of those. So definitely do that while you are in there too!
Superb - very helpful. Sound deadening and new Alpine speakers now being fitted !
Awesome, glad it helped! As a music lover the stereo upgrade is top of the list for favorite things in the van!

Awesome! Excited to hear what you end up going with! Happy building!
Excellent. Thank you
Of course!! Glad it helps!
Thanks!! I just found it! Yes I haven’t heard great things long term about those windows. I’ll look for OEM.

Awesome so helpful thank you
Hey Dorthy, you are welcome. Glad the video came in handy! Thanks for letting us know :)
Excellent. Is there actually any room to put any insulation, like 3M thinsulate? Seems that it would interfere with the window… just a guess/question.

How do you pop the orange anchors out of the soor metal?

Thank you for all the kind words and taking the time to comment. It really means a lot to us!
Separate question but is there any slider windows you’ve installed you’d recommend. I didn’t see any videos from you guys…..
