A good example of Jarvis's talent in telling a story, sad but not over-sentimental. It's from a piece of everyday life, not some vague contrived poetry. This live version is gorgeous.
Beneath the surface, the story told in this song is a downright tragedy. I guess it's become a reality for many young and mid-aged women and also men nowadays, today even more than back in the days when Different Class was released in 1995, I think. Life is a living hell in a prison of alienation, isolation and indifference for too many people, day in and day out. I'm a man, obviously, and this song hurts me to the bones. Another year, and I can count myself in to my ending thirties. Couldn't care less about reaching my forties, let alone live them. This performance is also proof of the unmatched artistic capacity and musicianship of this group. A terribly underrated act to whom the Britpop branding will hardly ever pay justice. Love it.
Now every niiiiight she plays a saaad game - ooh-ooh-ooh! Superb performance of an epic song. I love dark, gothic Pulp. Love the thumbing bass. A bit Thanks for uploading.
So much to choose from to form the reality of music. Why one older song gets played over another never really made much sense to me either. This song is a masterpiece.
This is just magical!!!!! Amazing & brilliant performance!!! Even my 20 months old baby loves this & is blowing kisses at Jarvis in this video!!! Thank you so much for the upload of all these Munich 1996 videos!!! Love them all!!
I remember seeing them perform this song at the first V Festival event in Warrington. Against the big screen, they showed a montage of ice dancers from the 1960s.. black and white footage Although it had nothing to do with the lyrics of the song, it was so beautiful. The memory has stayed with me all these years.
Iván A. I've seen a bit of us And I only saw her say, That I've never ever said "I know it's not too late" And I've never ever said It's only to going to go away, away, And I'm dying outside But it's just always feeling wrong, No, No, oh god. I'm leaving tonight. I going home and thats alright.

only i can say: perfection
I've not been on this concert. But on my opinion this version is so fuckin' one of their very best.
O my god it’s seven year later. 🤘
I just can't stop hitting the 'replay' button.
не устаю пересматривать, это квинтессенция музыки в целом, и мелодии в частности

This is a better version, better than the BBC gig. The 90's is a swell time, when everybody took his music seriously, not like today...
Candida Doyle is the cherry on the cake
Yes.
OMG!!! love him so much, wish I could turn back times, AWESOME!!!
Pulps trip hop song

this song sounds like an Elvis Costello David Bowie collaboration....needless to say that's a very good thing.

Here I found the whole concert! ruclips.net/video/-gBz_wsztrA/видео.html
Джарвис молод и задорен)... Но... Годы...
He’s still so stunning to this day and he’s still incredibly talented, let’s face it
Blur and oasis were so boring compared to interesting, sexy, funny, pulp.
Regarding Oasis I agree, but Blur were funny. I also want to add to this list more dramatic Suede. Love them.
