I am usually a lurker. I never comment on anything. But I really needed to say this : you should not apologize for feeling. Animals are part of our family. Losing a member of the family is horrible. Take time to grieve. We will still be there. I love your channel because it's so genuine and true to what happens and who you are. I think showing what you're living is incredibly courageous and some people like spitting over the courageous ones. Seeing people I like and that inspires me share their down is something that helps me very much because it shows feeling is normal. It's healthy. You being open about your eating disorder and telling us how you cope with it encouraged me to start journaling. And it really has helped me.
I guess that what I'm trying to say is that being so open is why I love your channel so much. So don't apologize and take your time. Do not feel bad about sharing with us because you'll never know how many lurkers you've helped with sharing all your experiences.
    Take care, Morgan.

Nicely put -- and i agree!! While we want you to be who you are, Morgan, do what you need to do, we also feel for you and Molly M. -- just keep in mind we're on your side, non cat person. You could do a video in Toby's voice, or Abby's -- then let one of the ducks take over for a third. Eventually, you may feel like taking over. Personally, I'd love to hear one of the Silkies/Crazies do a video.

There is a Japanese belief that when a cat is lost you have to ask the neighborhood cats to look for it and they will bring it back home.
Talk to the cats in the neighborhood, tell them that you are very sad and worried, and describe Molly to them, ask them to please guide her home.💛

Hey Morgan. I have a story for you, and I hope you see this. My boy KitKat is the reason I found you. You see, in June 2020, Kit disappeared. In his absence, I scrolled past one of your videos with Pablo in it and I thought it was Kit. He looked JUST LIKE Kit. We tried EVERYTHING. We had given up. He wasn't coming back. One fateful September day, my mom was scrolling Facebook and there he was.... all the way across town. Three days later, we caught him and brought him home. He was gone for 97 days. He was skinnier, he was scarred, he was a bit feral... but he's been home ever since. I hope that she returns to you. More than anything. Much hope to you for the return of Molly Murder Mittens. Miracles do happen.

The same thing happened to my neighbor when I was growing up. They had a black and white cat named Seaweed with very distinct features. She had a splotch of white above her left eye, a white chest, a white tail tip, and most notably three white paws with one black paw. She loved and was loved by that family, but she also liked to roam, and eventually one time she simply didn't come back. My neighbors looked all over the neighborhood for her, never found her. Eventually they gave up, grieved, and moved on.
About three years later I had moved a little ways across town (not very far, about five or six miles). I was walking by some dumpsters behind a pizza place at one point where a bunch of feral cats were scrounging for scraps when one of them caught my eye. There was no doubt in my mind; it was Seaweed. Exact same white splotches, exact same three white paws with one black paw. I told my (former) neighbors about it and they came and picked her up. Didn't need to trap her or anything, they just found her in the same area I saw her and picked her up and brought her home after three years of living wild.
Cats are strange creatures, especially outdoor ones. They form bonds with you, but at the end of the day they're solitary, self-reliant creatures, and sometimes they simply decide it's time for them to leave.

Mine was gone for 46 days. She'd gotten her collar caught on something, came back with it embedded into her chest... it was REALLY bad. But she pulled through, and I had her for another ten years after that.
That's also why I always make it a point to advocate for breakaway collars on cats. If she'd had a breakaway, it never would have happened.

It was my brother's cat (I'm guessing he was about 12 at the time) and he was beyond distraught. Then the following 4th of July when we went to a neighbors house (about 5 houses away) to watch fireworks, there she was . They loved siamese cats and decided she was theirs. They didn't want to give her back, but my brother just picked her up and left.

There's a strong possibility that she is just on an extended cat mission. The domestic cat still has a tremendous amount of wild still in them. Last year a friends cat I lived with and loved dearly escaped. We looked everywhere, put up posters, ran papers ads the works. Not knowing if she was out there wild and free, with another family or dead somewhere was the worst part. She came back to us after 80 days. She was living in the ceiling of a school and was living off their trash. I’m just some stranger on the internet, but I have faith she’ll find her way back to you. I absolutely love your videos and I wish you the best. Take care of yourself ❤️.

RIP Molly Murder Mittens 😔♥️. Barn cat or not, she was loved and she had a good life with you.
Edit, AirTags? I don’t think they require batteries????
Edit-edit: they do need batteries but the batteries tend to last a year without constantly charging them.

Morgan. I am 61. I have had so many pets over the years and each one I think about. Many cats and a few dogs. Recently I became handicapped. My youngest son decided to move me with him in Texas. I gave up 9 very special chickens and a German Shepard. I also lost a cat and my parents dog during the the last year. Everyday I cry tears. Because one I miss them and two at my age I will never have another pet. I have a small black kitty. She is my world now and is loving the attention. Don’t stop feeling. Each pet has brought me so much joy. SOOOOOO MUCH JOY! I would do it all again. Each one!

As someone who's cat went missing this was as a child we grieved for this cat and found him 10 years later he'd moved in with an old lady this cat had survived being ran over by a three wheel car and had half of his tail removed because of this he was old when we got him . There's hope she's still out there living her best life probably by some fireplace.

I'm glad you decided to share this with us. I think we all can understand your grief. Grieving is a process, whether it's a person or a pet. As i listened, i found myself really relating to your struggle. When i had to have my cat Toby put to sleep due to a severe illness, I had no one to talk to as my mom was getting cancer treatments. It was a rough time in many ways.
All i can tell you is that i think its good that you're thinking about it all, and you ARE processing it.
Your grief and feelings feel quite normal to me.

I had my 18 y.o. cat go missing for over two weeks. I looked everywhere. I had resigned myself to think she was gone. She had done this before but not for long.
Over two weeks later I opened by garage door to look for her and she was standing there. She looked fine. She never told me where she had hung out.
My cat was an inside cat that would go out WITH me but from time to time she would go into the field but would return in an hour or so.
Don't give up hope. She could be in someone's house, garage, shed....or lounging around another farm. That happens sometimes when you have a cat allowed outside.
    Dont give up hope. ❤😮

From a country girl who has always taken in strays and lost her share of fur babies whether to them going missing, dying by car, or old age, I cried right along with you. It is amazing how much they of a knot they tie in our hearts and once they are gone we have to find a way to let that knot fray and weave it back. Loss is grief and seasons of grief are an absolute for those of us that love with an unbridled heart. Keep Molly close and never apologize for loving and grieving with all your heart.
