We enjoy sitting around the fire looking out at the garden, Woody. And spreading the wood ash is a nice bonus. Things are looking nice in yours. Cheers
We've just started to light our woodburner this week Rob, and I will be definitely saving the ash from it. A garden bonfire is a real delight too it's such a shame that many allotment sites don't permit them now ( the microorchard is a private site so for now I'm okay to have bonfires 🤞🤞). Have a great week ahead my friend 👍
Hi woody we do miss having a fire and having the Ash to spread about, Thats some elephant garlic you plated there my friend we hope you get a super crop from it all.
It's unbelievable that you can't have a garden bonfire 😔 though it wouldn't surprise me if that day arrives here too ( though I'm on private land so might be ok for a while 🤞) I'm hoping for a bumper harvest of EG next year 🤞🤞 Have a great weekend both 👍👍
Hopefully you checked for nails if it was pallets. Wouldn’t want to step on any nails. Looking great Woody I have to go get some elephant garlic 🧄. Have a super weekend hope the storms by pass you 👍, Ali 🌧️🌧️🇨🇦
Yes of course I checked Ali 🙈🙈 🤣🤣 But you're right of course! I heard that E.G. was hard to source over there or have things changed now? Hope you can get some 🤞🤞🤞 Have a great weekend ( bad gales and heavy rain but nothing too serious with storm Babette) ❣️
That's a shame Steve, it's a great way of getting rid of stuff that can't be composted ( but the ash can be recycled). Thanks for the tip on interplanting! ATB 👍

@@cumbrianhomestead too many complaints from the surrounding houses

The micro-orchard is on private land and as long as the neighbours don't complain I'll be okay ( I don't have them that often tbh)
