I recommend you to watch the teaching on “One Hour One Book”. There are 3 lessons on Hebrew, the best I’ve ever seen. It’s from a Bible school. The letter is not written by Paul, but far more probably by the leaders of the church in Jerusalem. It’s written to messianic Jews, probably in Rome. The letter seems to answer a lot of questions that the recipients are struggling with. In the teaching mentioned, the questions are reviewed. When you know the questions, the letter is easy to understand.
I want to suggest that we do not interpret hypostasis as nature or person or anything like that. This is how it is used in Platonism. The Bible is not Platonistic, it is Jewish. Instead we should interpret it as it is throughout the rest of Scripture (Ruth 1:12, Ezekiel 19:5, 2 Corinthians 9:4, 11:17, Hebrews 3:14, 11:1), as confidence, guarantee, assurance, promise. So Jesus being the charakter of God's hypostasis is not "the exact representation of his nature", but instead it means "the stamp or mark of his promise or guarantee".
