How are you flying that xenon ship? What mod are you using? I though you could only pilot the skunk. That's why I uninstalled the game two weeks after it came out. Without the ability to pilot other ships (like Albeon Prelude) the game isn't worth my time.
Actually im gonna spoil it for you, XRebirth story mode isnt worth bothering with at all!!!!! like nothing, it was soooo disapointing i couldn't believe it. Move straight to X4 bro this shit is horribly disgusting! also good luck on X4 ^_-)

These are Tyrants, modified Taranis class. Far more weaponry and shielding, and increased drone storage. One can take an I with escort out solo, though it'll take substantial damage. I had mine equipped with all construction drones, was impossible to destroy. Got close once when the engines got hit early on in a battle with an I though.
Andreas Lehmann I agree... But do we have capital ships? I havent seen one yet to be complete (and constelation realy is not a capital ship - its much more smaller than these in the video..)
+CornerrecordZ We will have flyable capital ships that you can man with npcs, or your friends. The Javelin, and the Idris will both be player ships. Also, we will be able to launch fighters. I believe the Idris has room for three hornets. Though I have no idea if the Javelin has carrier space.
i want to buy this game as patch 3.20 just came out and im hearing its worth the buy now, i didn't realize you could watch your capital ship like this ? is it possible to join in the fight besides just watching it with drones or something controllable to the player ? perhaps some hard points you can hit against the bigger ships ?

That's the big Xenon ship. I haven't seen one of those since I finished the campaign, even though I wanted to board it. I flew all over in Maelstrom trying to find it, no luck! Here is a trick for people trying to make money real quick. Go to the Teladi Outpost and start boarding those Marauder teladi ships. Go for the "Cartel"faction, they are not friendly to the Teladi Union. They are worth 47 mill credits! Just make sure you install some mods that gives you that powerful laser and the boarding mod, that helps you board harder ships. Make sure you got 50 marines and a 5 star Marine officer.
wtf... they must have nerfed the Xenon-I ALOT, when it was put into the game i could throw 5 capitals at it and it would kill 3 of them before the Xenon died.. leaving the remaining 2 severaly damaged. Having a ship that size getting killed by 2 Taranis is way underpowered.
ye. But the Xenon I still has more then twice the hp and armament of a Taranis. And giving a better ship-ai also means the Xenon would work better. The Xenon I is suppose to be some kind of dreadnaut class compared to the XL-classes, so it should spank atleast one of the Taranis's and leave the other severely beaten before dying.
Before this video I've only seen arwans vs xenon. The xenon had no chance as it couldn't handle all the targets at once. This guy is using mods and those might have been red shift taranis
Really started doubting between rebirth and elite: dangerous... Elite looks so boring compared to this. It's just exploring and that's it. I played X3 and liked it, but I never played more than 50 hours (which is basically just beginning)... hmmm... perhaps start with albion prelude again.. ahhhh choices, choices!
Try it. I very much recommend it - especially now with a HUGE game update that fixed practically every aspect of the game. I have over 80h in it and it still feels like I just started. Insane amounts of fun :) Also - don't get it from steam because their price is a bit hefty. there are tons of sites like allkeyshop or g2a where you can get X:R steam keys for as low as 15$
Dan D. Exactly. X:R was never intended to be "X4" (official quote). And they started working on it even before the last expansion for X3 came out. However - I like the way things are in X:R. The only thing missing for me is that huge list of direct orders you could give to your fleat in X3. But, judging by the patches - X:R will get there :)
It takes a lot of hacking of save files to get as far as getting plenty of space ships, unless you want to play 300 hours and build stations and traders, which can glitch out and get stuck, etc. Elite:Dangerous is still alpha (as of 2015/Jan), even if they say it's released.

Normally, a Taranis is not equipped with 4-6 HIVI turrets, so these are modded. Under vanilla circumstances, these would be long dead.

A few versions ago capital ships got new shields and in 3.0 there was an overhaul of the AI for NPC captains

That is not Taranis :) It's a Tyrant and it is far more dangerous than the Arawn. This mod "Taranis redesign" can be downloaded via Nexus mod manager.

hab das 3.0 noch nicht gespielt, aber die vorherigen Version liefen sehr flüssig. liegt wohl an seinem System, dass es so ruckelt.
