  • Local radio Interference. It’s the bane of the Radio Amateur’s life.
There are two types - one you can’t do much about such as power line interference and the neighbour’s solar installation, and one you can do something about - local interference, such as dodgy battery chargers and cheap and nasty LED lighting. This video will give you an idea of what to look for and where.

What brand of down lights did you buy? I am just about to have them installed in a new part of the house. I swapped some led fixed lighting for led bulbs in the other part of the house as they seem to be less noisy. I was contemplating changing the spec to bulb rather than downlighting for the new part of the house....

Hi Paul. I used SAL S9064TC downlights. They're not cheap, but they're noise free. www.sal.net.au/products/interior-led-lighting/led-downlights/WAVE-S9064TC You'll see them in the video. As you know, it's the cheap imported stuff where you thend to run into trouble. Good luck. ;)
