    Fantastica, il ruolo le calza a pennello: frivola, divertente e canoramente precisa. Molto graziosa la direzione di Mackerras, forse troppo 'baroccheggiante' (anche nel suo "Idomeneo" calca molto il suono in senso barocco, mostrando anche un possibile gusto sonoro desueto per noi forse troppo abituati a un suono più corposamente romantico).

      @breadandcircuses8127 it looks like a sort of garment with a stay????? depending on when in the 1700’s this was written it could be a corset or stay

    The interest of this rendition lies not in the singing, which is adequate but faceless, but rather in the numerous apoggiature and cadenze with which Mr Mackerras has Miss Frittoli adorn the vocal line.

    At that time she seems to be the vocal twin of Carol Vaness, with less low register and a different bloom of the high notes (rounder/softer colour)

    I don't know that I've ever heard Come scoglio before, but it's very Mozart. And then I noticed he ripped off a few measures from the Agnus Dei of his own Missa in C (Coronation mass). Heh.

      Everyone during that time "ripped off" someone but then expanded upon it. It's kind of like an homage to another artist.

    weird appogiaturas. They go completely against the text which is about being soild as a rock. The appogiaturas suggest uncertainty, vascilating emotion.

    Мне больше нравится Ивон Кенни. У неё более легкий , полетный голос молодой девушки. У Барбары голос зрелой женщины , что не очень подходит к партии Фьоржилиджи.
