Hi people I'am Dave the Bass player on this 45 record brand new man with the master plan . We (along with Prince Geno) record this record in 1974, and I notice that it is still beaing played (2018) in many countries, plus alot in the UK. I have been trying unsuccessfuly through the years to find my fellow musicians and Prince Geno to do a second recording of it but to no avail. I will be recording a second version of it soon .Side 2 is the insturmental version of it and it has a more Jazz flavor to it. Thanks for listning and Keep UP with the FUNK.
@@midmericastudios * Thank you . We record this in Maryland in 1974 in a house on a reel to reel tape recorder .It was finished off in a studio . Prince Geno was the lead vocalist, Dave thats Me ( On Bass guitar) Garland on cungas drums. Now here is the bad part . I don't remember the name of the other musicians Lol but the group also consist of Guitar, and keyboard with violin and other tones. All of the musicians in the group were the background singers. Iam 75 now and still play the bass from time to time. I would like to record the song over just to increase the bass to a little more depth, but everything else on the song was good .I have no idea where these guys are so I may have to do it over again. I hop that I don't get sued because Prince Geno ( Robert Anderson) was the one who wrote the song. If you notice the song is about economics and hiring a person for there abilities and not by skin colour. This song is also played in the UK alot.
This song was issued on Aladdin in the 1970's, because the label was originally from Beverly Hills, CA, and later moved to Washington DC in the 1970's where the label got revived. Aladdin was best known for Rudy West and the Five Keys with their classic "Glory Of Love", Thurston Harris' "Little Bitty Pretty One" and Shirley & Lee's "Let the Good Times Roll".
MTN Productions.* Yep recorded in a house in 1974 on a reel to reel tape , taken to the studio for production. I miss all of my fellow musicians, but I must contenue on.
