The blankscope accuracy was something I really felt while using a slower build on the Ak117 but I'm surprised that cyg covered this miniscule detail as well!

The arm buff was what made it meta, because the 2nd range TTK is now consistent and competitively high. You can play it aggressively with integral suppressor, or go Tac Suppressor/Marksman Barrel for longer range support/anchor roles.
Been playing mostly FFAR Mythic… then bought the AK117, and now I find myself using AK117 more. For some reason, it seems to layer beam better mid range, and i just seem to do better with the AK117 Mythic sound. I know some people find “sound” of fire not a factor, but I think it does have a factor. Suppression sound of AK117 seems to almost never miss for me.
I absolutely appreciate this kind of video. Where others are creating top 10 videos, players need to see weapons which are competitive so that they get some fresh air out of the same guns that are being used since 1.5 years

AK117 has been used heavily in Ranked lobbies on the Japan server for as long as I can remember! Now that the mythic is out, it's being used even more. Out of 10 players you will normally see at least 3 players using the 117...
Yeah I know. You're on Japanese server too. I unfortunately have to be on Japanese server most of time. Wish it was more indian or middle eastern server cause it's more fairer for both me and the opponent in ping difference. Japanese have big advantage in ping than me or all my friends in my country.

You said the main reason why AK117 is held back as aggressive AR is the ADS movement.
Has the same ADS movement as passive weapons such as M16/LK.
If you play aggressive just use the QQ9,as faster rate and way better ADS movement.

I agree. I'm still of the same opinion, AK117 isn't worth using & there are better weapons to use. Just didn't mention the same argument as last time (QQ9/LK thing) since I already covered it. I don't agree AK117 is bad tho, it's usable. The only problem is, there are better alternatives so no point in using 117.

Regarding ADS Movement, using Light Stock + Light Barrel makes it decent and since 117 is a close to mid AR the BSA is still good for this playstyle, but there are better weapons (like Cordite/M13/etc)
As for the per role meta.
AK117 isn’t a main AR, but a Flex/Support Weapon that can still hold its ground against other meta weapons.
You really don't need to use absolutely any other AR than the HVK-30 in passive modes like SnD, and even in respawns if u can manage your bullets cuz the only practical con is the mag size. It's 2 shot to the head and consistently beats SMGs at close range and LK at long range if u can hit these shots. You can make a mobility build which gives u better strafe than LK helping you challenge long range fights and hip fire, at least per my experience in ranked, is accurate so just bunny jump and hip fire in close range to counter SMG meta. Not many people use HVK that much apparently but I love it cuz it's so good that I been using it so fricking much I entered regional leaderboards and global in the same day 💀. A truly jack of all trades weapon. Plus points if u have the legendary blueprint but otherwise use the jumper cable battle pass print.

Problem at long range with ak117 is it's random recoil.....and in heated situations where missing 3 or 4 shots cud cause ur death....ak117 recoil becomes a issue.....
I feel ak117 is best under 23 m range....
Doesn't the inconsistency of recoil cause issues for you during long sprays??
I found myself unable to be accurate if I sprayed for too long. Especially in further ranges. I was almost choking cause of the horizontal recoil
it does, why I prefer not to take long range gunfights & tend to play close to mid range mainly
@@Cygnoux I see, but that isn't very versatile like in my opinion. I don't have any problems beaming at range with other meta flex ARs. Not even the mini barrel m13 or ffar1 r as difficult to use at range as the ak117
Is it any good in BR? I keep seeing it being used. But am not having any joy, not sure if it's me, the builds I've tried or the gun maybe isn't that good in BR?
it is usable but I don't recommend it. Amax is a better Versatile AR in comparison

when FFAR launched, I used FFAR and last season I used Razorback. But usually I just use LK24 since it's easy & braindead to use and it's easy to do well with it haha so makes ranked a bit easy

Vertical recoil is crazy I can’t control it lol
and it is still a bit inconsistent, sometimes moves left/right so harder to be accurate at longer ranges

Yet again I comment sir please analyze the ppsh-41!!!! With Mono suppressor and heavy barrel it literally has almost the exact same range as CBR4 with tactical suppressor and marksmen barrel (which is what most people run) and the same fire rate and damage but even better hit boxes!!! Please look into it, I would love your opinion, I think it is criminally slept on.

used to, now it's mainly vertical recoil with some slight horizontal randomness. Previously the horizontal was uncontrollable

my POV is buy a paid skin if the base ironsight is bad, and 117 doesn't fit this criteria. So personally I won't go for Mythic BUT if you like the design or ironsights or anything really, then can go for the Mythic. It feels nice to use

They need to rebalance the hitscan weapons they are way better than bullet speed weapons it would slow down the ttk too they should add bullet speed to all the hitscan guns

Always needed a fast firing AR this will work with the 48 round mag compared to HVK in my opinion
yes for a faster firing AR even I'd recommend 117 over Grau/AS VAL (but use M13 over 117)

The mythic was so disappointing for me..... wish they made it futuristic like the girls Frontline guns in China.
This gun is absolutely a laser. I've been destroying ranked lobbies with it since the mythic dropped. I swear the aim assist on the mythic is P2W. I always loved the AK117 but it's insane with the mythic.
