So hyped for this upcoming season to start. I've been to Big Snow before and I like, but I remember the snow being the same way. Might need to make the trip down there before resorts start opening!
Bought a pack of passes for big snow for my fiancé and I. Also bought Epic local passes. I wish big snow offered lessons. Want to get my fiancé and I lessons before hitting the mountains this winter
Oh man I thought they did give lessons. I do think you can ask the people in green for some tips. I have 3 videos you guys could watch in my house to snowboard playlist: how to stop, how to J turn and how to S turn. In that order. Hope you guys have a great winter!
@@JohnathanBuckhouse yea the lessons are for little kids only not adults. Trying to learn how to control speed. I feel like I'm bombing down the hill. Would like to catch up with you guys at big snow one day soon
I'm so used to that sandy snow, that's the man made stuff out of the guns. If it's good and cold it stays like that. Here at my local hill it's 99.99 snow gun snow quite often. It changes after it gets warm and re-freezes and they groom it.
I have GOT to go to Big Snow! I been itching to go! next summer for sure. Once the snow falls on the front range I'm stuck to Colorado. I really did like Park City & Sun Valley was OK. But I love CO! Hey JB it's so funny that you call Big Snow "the Fridge" LOL! Becuz it is a fridge at 28 degrees!! LOL
NJ Pizza has a really high ceiling but a surprisingly low floor. Long Island is kinda the opposite. Hard to find a truly exceptional slice but pretty hard to get bad pizza. Thanks for being honest about even the fairly minor in the scheme of thing inconveniences. I think social media and the ability to edit out all of the minor hiccups in life gives people too much of an expectation of frictionlessness(no pun intended) in their real life.
Im headed to big snow in 3 weeks for my birthday. Any tips to learn how to ride switch? I went from not being able to snowboard to being able to ski a few blacks at park city this past season! But I only know how to ride in one direction. How do i get past the mental block and ride the other way : )
Just ride switch all day for few visits eventually it will click but it’s gonna be hard mentally to make yourself stick through it since you know if you ride regular you’ll have more fun good luck!
It would be super cool to have one of these in CO to itch that summer skiing itch! They could even build a building on the side of a mountain so they don't need the elevation.
Hey Jonathan is it possible for this season for you to sell a windbreaker jacket? You know with small evolution logo on the right side of the chest, and then a bigger logo on the back
Or you could even put the mountain hoodie logo on the right front, and then the evolution logo on the back or vice versa for any logo that you've made it. It would look sick
It’s not you, it’s the snow there. There is so much dirt in the snow, it’s so grabby. Wipe down your board with a clean towel after riding there and you’ll see what i mean…
Its not just the wax. Scrape as much as you can. But make sure to brush with a brass or firm brush to break up the suction from melted man made snow. This Is a huge issue anywhere water can puddle (troughs before take offs)? Also do you have texture ground into your base? If so what course-ness and pattern?

Interesting to see how important wax/ no wax influenced the performance!
Did you ever figure out the speed problem? I was there and had the same problem on board with a fresh tune.
No wax. That is the key
Let’s gooo we back up to 74k baby!!!
Awesome thank you kindly
You just made me bust out laughing
The flat zone before the dfd and back country are rough usually have to skip middle features
