is it possible to stimulate the SCSI strip soldered onto the MB? My LCD is suddenly missing characters, fading ... do u think the nature of the design is a short life? Perhaps I should just rely on digital pin or order a new one?

Hey, thanks for the video. My PINsentry device has given me several heart attacks, where I managed to resuscitate the device by completely disassembling it, and cleaning off some battery corrosion from the Clear key contacts, and all was well, but then during the Christmas break, I left my card in the device, and thought it may well have drained the batteries, however this somehow appears to have "bricked" the device, as with new batteries, it's basically dead (on just two occasions, after putting in the last battery, after a couple seconds delay, it displayed the identify message, but didn't respond to key presses). So, now, all I get is a blank screen. Any idea what might have happened here, and is there anything you can think of that might just get it going again? I would super appreciate any ideas, as I'm currently locked out of account, at the worst possible time (I'm in the U.S., which makes this far worse, as I can't just go into a branch and ask for a new one, and Barclays can't do much over the phone)...

But you don't show how to put the new batteries in. That's the trickiest part.
