Tae, I notice, is a kind of person who needs extra nurturing, that's why Tae is most affectionate towards Jimin and Jin because they're the ones who takes care of him the most. It might sound offensive but Tae really is like an alien in the sense that he has a mind different from others and like that song that's labelled with him, Tae usually does what he likes and 'goes on his own way' regardless of what others think.
Not a lot of people would understand that character, and a few would even stay silent and accept it, and would either comment on how you're doing things, question your choice or actions, thoughts, or worst, even make fun of you (which to that person he might not meant to offend but for a highly sensitive person like Tae he might take differently) but people like Jin and Jimin who can go with the flow and loves to cater to other people and is innately a giver, fits Tae's persona the most.
What those people like Jimin and Jin does to Tae, he pays it off by being more affectionate to them. That's why I think Jin is called control V before because he is one of the rarest people in Tae's inner circle who can actually make Tae follow or do what needs to be done as Tae typically does what he wants and cannot be told otherwise.
Tae is very opinionated and would fight for it (and why before Tae and Yoongi does not see each other eye to eye because Yoongi would want cooperation ans since he is older, he should be followed) and is usually set on his beliefs and rarely does he deviate from it.
Tae's brain is often way ahead of his mouth when he expresses himself in words. I have this notion because his words are usually uncoordinated, and when he says things it is already at the end or the result, with no explanation at all or the middle story is not said. Thats why people often gets confused of Tae and Jin, who naturally loves puzzles and is brilliant at deducing things, can understand him and interprets his words for others.

Wow I like what you've said. It's so on point. And I somehow relate to Tae because I, too, sometimes get ignored or cut off when I am about to say what's on my mind or while I am actually saying it as it seems to not agree with what others are saying. I need someone like or almost like Jin or Jimin in my life to cheer me up aside from my family.

Jin is a giver and not a type who likes to control other people yet he is affectionate as hyung. While Tae is very emotional in his own feeling yet he could not describe his thoughts very well however actually most of times he is laid-back as well not like J-Hope who is constantly in control with his and others' attitude very much or logic person like Namjoon. Both Jin & Jimin are the ones who can get close to Tae the most bcos they are both very easy going type. Yoongi is more indifferent & blatant, can unconsciously hurt Tae's feeling, nice thing yoongi himself doesn't get mad easily. While Jk is the maknae he usually just follows his hyung and given most affection, but also being savage and just listen most of the times. That's my opinion
