On October 9, 2009 Bev Brock unveiled the new-generation HDT 'Blue Meanie' -- inspired by Peter Brock's famous 1985 HDT VK Group A Commodore at the Bathurst 1,000 at Mount Panorama, Bathurst. Modified by Peter Champion's HDT organisation, the 6 Litre V8 gets a special cam, high-performance exhaust and an engine ECU tune that, combined, produces a claimed 350kW of power.
HDT also modifies the suspension with Bilstein coil overs and the interior gets HDT logos, carbon fibre accents and an individual build plaque.
One of only 29 VE-VK SS Group A Commodores built, Number 50 has covered a documented 39,373 Kilometres and comes with all HDT documentation, HDT Authenticity Certificate, log books and owners manuals, two sets of keys and full service history.
