I stopped taking a triptan because, although it seemed to help get my vision back faster, I seemed to get clusters of migraines. Plus, it gave me chest pain, which gave me pause. As an Ironman triathlete, I don't like giving myself chest pain. I started getting them in my early 20s and it was just aura without headache. Now, I get a really bad aura and then headache pain and nausea for multiple days. It affects my ability to work. Today, I triggered one when I looked out the window and it was snowing/bright. I've noticed that my prodrome includes balance issues and word substitution. Thanks for the information. At this point, I just want to find a way to prevent them that isn't a medication with unwanted side effects.
