Maybe because you filled the slot already with a potion before combat at this point u need to use it or reset the combat to empty the slot.. Hope that answers your question 😊
You can only equip a potion/food if your slot is empty while fighting, if you started a fight and you already have a pot equipped, you won't be able to change it unless you use all of the potions you have in the slot so it empties
i don understand why you are able to select a potion mid fight. When i'm fighting and try to do that, it won't work.
