Check the libido at the door!!! Do not get involved with people at work. Women talk, don't get a bad reputation. Same goes for nursing school for those in or about to enter. Most class cohorts are small.
Hi Trev, I'm currently taking all my pre requiste classes and I hope to be starting nursing school next year September. I watch your videos and others just to get a heads up on the do's and don't. I'm wondering what would be a good starting off point as a first job?
I wouldn’t recommend a man becoming a nurse, speaking from experience of 20+ years. You’re always gonna be the bad guy, and you will never be able to be yourself. Women (most) are sometimes more judgmental than men and place you into a box and stereotype you as either too masculine to be in the field, they’ll see you as a threat, or they’ll think you’re weak. They are manipulative and conniving and if you do anything better than them they will try to sabotage you or make your life hell, and you will hate your job and yourself. Especially coming from a decent Man who doesn’t have I’ll will towards females or anyone else for that matter, they will not care, I’m fact they see that as unnatural and as competition.
Hey what’s up Trev. what is your experience with older new nurses in the field? What advice do you have for someone who starts nursing career in their mid to late 40’s?

Especially if you have the means to I had a handful of classmates in my cohort that were in their mid/late 30s and a couple in their 40-50s (one was a grandma) and they seem to enjoy being on the floor. They did have background in the health field already so I’d take that into consideration too
@@catsoffon thanks man. I’m well on my way through the course already. Fundamentals and Med-Surg out of the way. I do have 20 yrs of medical experience so yes it has definitely helped. Im glad im not the only 45 yr old in my class. There’s a few students older than me who are on their 2nd and 3rd career.
Hmmm guys and women express their emotions in different ways. So basically all in all, just tell the men to be chill and go into beta-male mode. This way they won’t go into their natural state of expressing their emotions.
We all def worked hard to get our license! You covered a lot of gems that they don’t touch upon in school.
