That thought that playing with good players makes you play better and playing with bad players van make you play bad isn't completely correct. It's not a terrible thought but I think that's just part of the mental part of golf. If you focus on yourself you should have the same approach to golf every round.
Maybe in a scramble that's correct but not when your playing just for yourself. It can be difficult to zone in if you scramble partners are playing terribly
