Brilliant video, Chris. Never worry about what you put out. We enjoy it regardless! Always enjoy your videos. I would reply to every point you made, but it would be a long reply :) It made the commute home go fast. I am 34 going on 35 next year. We must be the same school age. Keep up the good work
Thanks for the video m8! One can tell you are smart and got a talent for presenting things in positive/hopeful way. I'm 36 and can really relate to your life situation. Looking forward to more videos 👍
The main lesson here is that life isn't a rush, you do stuff when you are ready, don't copy others, evaluate and learn first and understand you have your own plan don't follow other peoples plans or judgement, speaking from experience! and I take my hat off to you admitting about the ladies bags lol
This is so helpful thank you for giving us advice. It is a tough world we live in. The older I get I'm stressed out. This video shined a light to my current situation.
Fantastic video chris, who said this was supposed to be a finance channel ay, ill be rewatching this one for sure! So much wisdom in 1 video! Appreciate the content 👍 100k subs incoming!
Really good video Chris and a load of golden advice.......one thing I wish would happen is that schools went back to teaching financial items - nothing complicated, but give context and examples - and invite speakers in etc.....would certainly of helped me......5 years in your pension when you are 18 is so much more valuable than when you are even as low as mid 20's..... as you say....start now.
We'll probably realise what we had when stocks and shares ISA is taken away or cut right down, so far we lose the portion of the allowance we didn't use each year. The £20k limit is reduced every year due to inflation. It's been the same for the last 7-8 years now and will be for another 6. In 2030 it'll probably be worth £12-13k relative to purchasing power of £20k in 2017. When you have your kid, start an ISA for them as their birth present and keep it up as long as you can
40 year old DevOps engineer wathing this - Was certainly worth the time and dedication to learn over the past few years and it does pay off.. Now just getting into investing into a SIPP and merging all previous workplace pensions😀
I didn't start saving for a pension until I was 29. Now I'm 57 and have amazingly managed to save £800k, but in order to do this I've had to work in well paid but very stressful jobs, and my mental health has suffered as a result. If I could go back in time I would not have wasted time on university, but started work at 18 in a job I enjoyed and started to save right away.
Compound interest is crazy because I started saving for my pension at 24 and I have £60k now at 30. By 65 it's projected to be over £2m even if I never pay another penny. I graduated late from uni so the students who are skipping uni all together will be able to grow even more wealth!
I’m ecstatic with Trump's victory and the year-end market surge. Which hidden jewels in the upcoming bull run would you buy with 150 grand right now? My goal is to position myself for a prosperous Q1 in 2025.
Index Funds & ETFs: 40-50%, Emerging Markets (e.g., VWO): 10-15%, Dividend Stocks: 10-20%, Growth Stocks/Small-Caps: 10-20%, REITs: 5-10% Remember to always work with a knowledgeable person in the financial market when starting out to avoid getting burnt.
”DCA DCA" is the sloppy term but the key. My dollar portfolio i DCA with is made up of 30% PLTR, 25% NVDA, 15% VOO and over 30% in digital assets, thanks to my CFA. This strategy is what works for my spouse and I. We've made over 80% capital growth minus dividends. Q3 taxable divs this year was $18,388 this year.
Certainly, there are a handful of experts in the field. I've experimented with a few over the past years, but I've stuck with ‘’Evelyn infurna’’ for about two years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look-her up.
@chrispalmer24 currently have a Google Pixel, before this I had a number of Samsungs, and before that a number of iPhones. I do not look at 36 month contracts, only 24 months. Generally paying more up front (£200+) results in the greatest savings, as you're effectively paying interest on the borrowed amount from the phone companies. I've had it before where a contract is cheaper than just buying the phone, nevermind the line rental. More commonly, I'll find contracts which are maybe £50 more than buying the phone outright, but cheaper than buying the phone and then paying £5-15 a month for a SIM only deal. Also, the last few contracts I've had include freebies, such as really high quality earphones or a fitness tracker smart watch (which I sold for £80) making the contract even better value.
Start with a global index - My first investments were home markets only, mostly because it felt safer, and a little bit of hedging because they were undervalued. In reality they underperformed and weren't any safer. Don't miss the crash/bottom - Set and forget can work most of the time, but if there is a nice dip in the market it can be a good time to enter. Keep mining Bitcoin - Yes my Bitcoin did well, but 2000% increase on a lot of still better than 2000% increase on a little.
The first thing I'd say to myself when I was your age was don't use Americanisms like "suck" and "of a". They may be big but they aren't clever. The second, speaking as someone who now has a lovely big HMRC-proof ISA, is that you're wrong about that, son. Wrap every penny you can.
I will be forever grateful to you, you changed my entire life and I will continue to preach on your behalf for the whole world to hear you saved me from huge financial debt with just a small investment, thank you Wendy Hubbard Stewart.
Amazing video, you work for 40yrs to have $1M in your retirement, meanwhile some people are putting just $10K into trading from just few months ago and now they are multimillionaires, thanks Charlotte Grace Miller
She is my family's personal broker and also a personal broker in many families I'm United States, she's a licensed broker and a FINRA AGENT in United states
I'm surprised that you just mentioned and recommended Charlotte Miller, I met her at a conference in 2018 and we have been working together ever since.
I just withdrew my profits a week ago, To be honest it was an amazing feeling when the profits hits my wallet I wish I could reinvest but, too much bills
7:25 You didnt follow your own advice on this one. Everyone's circumstances are different yet youve offered blanket advice when it comes to buying a house. Many young people are preparing to leave the country, it's not in their interest to buy a property because you have to own for 15 years + to actually see profif for most people after ALL costs and inflation. Also renting it out has serious income and capital gain tax implications that you completely ignored
If you could go back in time and tell yourself something, what would you say? 🤔
Started investing earlier
Buy Bitcoin ASAP 😂

Don't drink and drive :)
I wish I was 35 again lol. happy early birthday Chris.

Thanks mate that’s really kind of you 🙂 glad it was relatable!

😂 I never heard the end about those “disgusting bags” from the other half.. I thought they were cool 👀👀 “cutey bags” they were called 🤣
Lots of wisdom here, young man! I’m a teacher, love my job, but looking forward to retirement. I’m 59, no regrets

Thanks Charlie! Appreciate it 😊 try to branch out a little (tried to keep it as money related as I could)

Thanks mate!

ahhh hindsight! with age comes wisdom, we don't get to have both! :)

Can you share details of your advisòr? I want to invest my increased cash flow in stocks and alternative assets to achieve financial goals.

Use her name to quickly conduct an internet search.
This was such a positive video.
Very solid advice.
That's Chris good video
Thanks Hugh!
In my experience, contract deals are usually cheaper than buying a phone out right and then paying for a sim only deal.
That’s really interesting! Which brand do you go for? I’ve always found the opposite

6:38 Inflation*
1:31 no but we can be miserable in luxury

The very first time we tried, we invested $1400 and after a week, we received $5230. That really helped us a lot to pay up our bills.
I'm new at this, please how can I reach her?
I just withdrew my profits a week ago, To be honest it was an amazing feeling when the profits hits my wallet I wish I could reinvest but, too much bills

Your video is sad and unhappy because you count your age. Stop doing it. There is no 20, no 30, no 70, And stop doing birthdays after 16.
