    Matt / Andrea,
    I typically skip through the introduction and cut to the content but for some reason today I watched the intro and the piece about Alexis. Awesome of you to use your platform to spread the word on the Go Fund Me for this young lady and her family. Sounds like she can use all the help she can get both financially and through prayer. I’ve made a donation and encourage those that can afford it to do so as well.

    Such a positive vibe on this RV! You two are such a great couple who really know what to discuss about each individual RV you review. I love that each video is full of laughter and smiles! Thank you, guys! Oh, one more thing…I think the manufacturer should have added a panel to the sink to make the right side an extended countertop area. Double functionality is a plus within the small space.

    We have the exact same RV! Ours is a 2022 on the Chevrolet Express 4500 chassis that's powered by the new 6.6L V8. We are very happy with it as it's easy to drive, park, set up, winterize and service on your own. We also like the option to be able to tow a small jeep, our motorcycle trailer or a small enclosed trailer behind it. It is definitely the perfect couples RV with all of the right amenities built in!
    The only things I would suggest are a counter extension, less use of particle board in the cabinets especially where the vanity is concerned (ask me how I know!), provide a ladder to access the bunk and have hooks to be able to secure a cargo net in the bunk while its being used for storage when the vehicle is in motion.

    Nice small RV with great OCCC, and price point. Only disappointment is that fuel and water are not behind locked doors. It would have been nice to have a porcelain toilet as well as a flip up counter extension. Not sure if cameras with lane assist are available on an upgrade, but that would be nice. Great storage and floor plan.
    Matt and Andrea, another great review. Prayers for Alexis.

    Hi Matt and Andrea! Sorry to hear about Alexis. My thoughts and prayers go out to her and her family. My dislikes are not porcelain toilet and not enough counter space, and no side cameras. My likes are flush floor no bumps to trip over. The wardrobe closet and the dinette with the hinges. Thank you Matt and Andrea! This is a nice small motor home.

    Had a class C with no slides & it had an over, deep kitchen sink, was dry bath had more sitting rm, storage inside & outside. Sadly with RVs newer doesn't mean better! It only cost $5k with low milage! Sure do miss that rig!

    Yeah, couldve done with one sink. Need more counter space. I think the rv should have one slide out, in the living are, not the bedroom. I want to be able to use the bedroom (bed) if i cant have the slide out. I also would like a couple theater seats along with that nice dinette. So, i would opt to buy a larger rv, 30ft maybe, just to get those things.

    We have a 2020 Redhawk SE 22C. Ours is on a Chevy 4500 chassis. We have 4,000# CCC. The floor plan has not changed. They have made some minor changes that are nice. The double sink sucks. There’s no reason to waste the counter space with a large sink. I agree with you about the toilet. It is not a Prime Pooping Position. We have storage under the foot of the bed that is accessible when the slide is out. The MSRP has jumped tremendously. Must be the added cost for the Ford chassis. Overall, we love our rig. We’ve put 20,000+ miles on it after buying it new.

    Not a bad layout, but too many small things wrong for me. Not a lot of outside storage, but for a smaller size that's to be expected. Would like to have seen outside lane cameras for greater safety. No vent or window at the front overcab sleeping area. That area will get warm and may feel somewhat claustrophobic to some. No pull-out drawers on the ends of the dinette benches. It's a hassle to remove the cushions and anything on top of them each time to access the under storage. No counter space with the double sinks. Would have liked to see a single large sink instead. The bed is only 5' 10" long. Way too short for a lot of folks. You missed it, but there is decent storage under the bed. You have to lift the end up to see it. No, on the plastic toilet. Plastic toilets can and sometimes do crack after a few years. That should be replaced if you intend to keep this unit for any length of time. Another thing I did not see were any ceiling fans. If you're boon-docking without hook-ups to run your a/c they are a necessity. You can run the generator, but fans are good when you just want a little ventilation or for condensation. Lastly, solar should definitely be included.

    Nice entry level Class C. It has all the needed comforts but nothing extra. My dislikes are no side cameras. I just think this should be mandatory. 2nd, I agree with Angela the double sink is not necessary. 3rd, terrible storage on the outside. I do like the layout and the fact there is no carpet. I also like the price, it came in less than I expected.

    Toilet needs to be porcelain for sure, color of the floor does not go with the rest of the interior. Small campers need to have light colored features so the cabinets are too dark and should be more of a creamy color. And it would be great to have a small windshield window over the cab bunkbed to bring in more natural light in the make it feel bigger. Single sink for sure to give more counter space.

E450 chassis features 👍🏽 5318 lb ccc, 7500 lbs towing, lots of storage spaces, same engine as a class A that weighs twice as much; sleeps 5 and seats 5 👍🏽 doesn’t have a living area (small unit); bathroom is a good size 👍🏽 good size shower, ppp (We’d option the p); bonus 👍🏽 flush floor .:. pulling back the kitchen kudos 👎🏽 double sink not needed (counter space is) only a 2 burner cooktop, no oven; boondock unfriendly 👎🏽 bed folds up with the slide in; not sure 1 AC is going to do it 👎🏽 it’s at the back we can run the dash for a little bit meh; bonus 👎🏽 no side camera .:. Thanks for the review M/A - all the best to your friend.

  • @plektosgaming
    @plektosgaming 2 года назад

    - I do wish the power cord was on a reel or something other than the flap open like that. Maybe a small cutout or grommet so you can keep bugs out and close it when plugged in?
    - Why don't they just put a larger area over the cab and make that a reinforced loft for the main bed? In something this small, having the bed crammed in like that in the back kind of defeats the whole thing as every inch is key. This is kind of like Class Bs in how some use a couch/murphy bed combo option. Save every inch you can. All of the problems would go away if the entire back was the bathroom and kitchenette (doesn't have to be huge, just work) and leaving the entire center for living in.
    Now I can hear you say - well, how do you get to the driver's seat? I see king sized beds in RVs on shocks that lift up for storage - so do the same. Lift it up, open a small waist-high door, go in and close it behind you. Or leave it up and locked - you're not sleeping while it's moving.
    EDIT - This Jayco almost could be made into a N/S queen sized bed with a little work the cab-over is already so large. But with no rear bed... way more options and space. Toss the kitchen and cabinets in the back and it's suddenly the next logical step up from a Class B. I'd LOVE to see what they could do a a Class B type of format on this larger chassis. Maybe invent a whole new type of RV. Small Class C but designed like a Super large Class B.

    for what it is meant to be and price point... i see nothing at all wrong with it, exactly the size and price of something i would buy... the few things i would do different on this would increase price, side cameras, a window over bunk, and solar....... 2 of which you could add later yourself..... normally i would rather theatre seats instead of dinette, however in this type of model where the tv is where it is, i actually prefer the dinette to other options, above chairs and table as well, you can kinda lay across the booth long ways, or put feet up on other side, make bed to lounge on for movies etc. much better for viewing angle than theatre seats or couch would be..... i would drive this one off the lot just as it sits without complaint for the price i would pay, and with such large cargo and towing capacities, bringing or adding other stuff that is not built in, plus the fact it is a simpler less complex system than many to begin with, would not be much of a problem at all...... if i understand towing correctly, if we assume 5000 towing as usual.. but with 5000 cargo capacity, than you should be able to tow the full 7500 if you load motor home only to 2000 or so lbs... which with limited storage, hard to find place for 5000 lbs of stuff inside.... so you should be able to tow most things, a dune buggy or jeep, boat, another decent sized trailer for rest of family is option.... etc.

    The towing capacity on this makes no sense. E450 has 22000 gcwr, and ford states minus gvw or 10lbs which ever is lighter. Payload of that chassis is 8800 or so. 7k would state jayco is beyond that which i doubt. So why 7k on towing? When a competitor, same exact e450 chassis is 12k towing. Did they just go cheap on the hitch?

    • @kcalebwalters
      @kcalebwalters 2 года назад

      GCWR of 22,000 lbs - GVWR of 14,500 lbs = Towing capacity of 7,500 lbs; 14,500 lb GVWR - 5,318 lb CCC = 9,182 lbs of Jayco materials placed on chassis
      The chassis is only rated to tow 7,500 lbs, so Jayco/Entegra Coach will not put a larger hitch on as it is a safety hazard for the customer. It has nothing to do with money.
      Not to mention, Jayco/Entegra's E-450 Class-C's have a 750lb vertical tongue weight, as opposed to putting a larger hitch on and leaving the tongue weight at 500 lb, which would be another major safety concern. Hope that answers your question :)
