Surely, there could be stalls, even once a week, for those less fortunate and unable to buy food to select these fruits and vegetables with dignity rather than letting it rot. Recycling, making compost etc would be something worthwhile pursuing in Kibera, however for that to start there is a need for leadership. It is a pity government does not see the potential benefits of starting a recycling business of a grand scale in Kibera, employing hundreds, exporting good compost etc and encouraging farmers to use what is recyclied around the town

They should try to save it and let people pick from it. Or they can have people pick the ones that are salvageable and deliver it to the people that can use it. Another opportunity for someone ! Someone can get those large buckets and just deliver it to the people for free. Even some of us in the U.S. would pick through the fruits and pay a small price for the salvageable ones.
