Yeah, raccoons and cats (in an environment when survival instincts aren't a factor) often get along quite well. Even in the wild, they're indifferent to one another, for the most part. In Tim's menagerie, I can see them being pals and grooming one another, lol.

Seen two baby raccoons in my back yard 2 days ago. Maybe 9-10 inches long. Mom had to be close by …next day till now have not seen them. Animals are so interesting and more so…when dif one’s become friends after building a trust.
I remember my Aunt Maggie rescued a pair of raccoons she called The Quints and one of them crawled up on her shoulder and pooped. She put the sort in a bucket of water and turned around to find the raccoon at the edge of the bucket , washing the shirt. It was so funny.
