Pink Floyd concerts have always been gigantic multimedia shows.
Imagine 200,000 watts of surround sound, all those lights, 100,000 people screaming their lungs out, and you in the middle of it all. I have never taken drugs or even had any desire to try them. But the way I felt at the concerts is how I imagine a trip. ;)

Imagine that you are feeling that bass through your spine. The seating was practically wired into the bass speakers. You didn't just hear it,you felt it. I know, I was there that. What an experience

You should react to the band Yes and their bassist Chris Squire. I would suggest the studio version of "Roundabout". They are all great musicians, but I think you will appreciate Chris Squire's uniqueness.

I loved that song from the first time I ever heard it. I feel so fortunate to have seen them play it in person, 30 years ago in Pittsburgh. When you have the time, check out the grand master of bass, Mr. Geddy Lee of Rush. A couple live performances that highlights his play are "Where's My Thing - Here it is!" from their Clockwork Angels tour, and "Leave That Thing Alone" from their Time Machine 2011 tour.

Greetings from Canada. That was me who recommended this to you on your first Pulse experience. Yeah- I made the link between your name, bass- playing and Guy Pratt here showcased by Floyd. Fun, wasn't it? Peace, love and bellbottoms.

Guy Pratt really was a great find for Pink Floyd's live shows, although his best bass work is probably on "Money"! Another great progressive rock bassist worth checking out is Mike Rutherford from Genesis, whose bass lines on the "In the Cage/Afterglow Medley" from When in Rome Live 2007 is worth checking out; it's about 18 minutes long but worthwhile!

I reckon a bass player would REALLY like Peter Gabriel "Exposure" (Tony Levin)
One of these days - at 2:46 2nd guitarist plays tune from TV series Dr Who
