I feel like this guy loves the fact he’s part white and sees Asian as lesser than him kinda like he’s more superior. Only saying this because he keeps saying “Asian” over and over again I know it’s for comedic purpose but it also feels like he’s self projecting.

Or MAYBE just maybe its because the white part of him is majority BECAUSE HE LIVES IN THE US with half WHITE family and AMERICANIZED other half? Therefore he feels farther from his asian side making it feel like a distant cousin rather than a sibling?
This was the best. I was born in Denver so I recognized the airport and the train right away. I was also raised in Silvethrone and Dillon, which are 20 minutes or so away from breck, so this was nostalgia at its finest.

Ok no hate butttt Am I the only Asian that doesn’t find this type of humor funny? Like the whole hanging out with “ASIANS” “famiree” thing. I get it. Like I’ve heard it a million timesss.
Kelly is usually very entertaining but I found parts of this video rather cliche and unfunny. It's like at every turn, he wants to convince or remind us that he ISN'T Asian, that he doesn't do the things that those other people do, that he's entirely separate because his mum is white and he has white blood. We get it Kelly, you're 'cool', you're 'white' and you don't fit any Asian stereotypes.
If you look at the reasoning behind it, it's obvious, he doesn't want to be seen as Asian and he'll turn it into cheap laughs.
Kelly, you're better than this.
I'm typically amused and inspired by Kelly's content, but this video had hit me differently vs the other ones. Watching 13:22 to 13:34 caused me discomfort. Using humor out of playfully poking a specific race isn't comedic in general, and being half Asian doesn't provide a valid excuse to do so :/ I wholeheartedly agree Kelly is better than this too. His videos are ordinarily A1, but this one was different.

since a lot of us had to deal with "jokes" like that growing up as a kid.
@@stanleyching3141 It's kinda clear he's overcompensating for being Asian. It's internalized racism, I struggled with it growing up as well since I was half Asian growing up in a predominantly white town. You feel the need to assure white people you aren't Asian and you're actually white because that's what you think will make you look better in their eyes. This video just didn't sit right.
