  • Josh is a special ed teacher and is worried that he won’t be able to stay focused and patient if he doesn’t sleep well. This has created fear of not sleeping and anticipatory insomnia.

I think this explains what I deal with on a regular basis. I do get anticipatory anxiety, so it only makes sense that I would have it at night as well. My daughter wakes up many times every night so I always know that she will wake me up every two, sometimes fewer, hours.. That is compounded with the concern over not being able to care for my children adequately during the day because I'm so tired. I have many sleepless nights because I expect to not be able to sleep and I completely panic. It's horrible.
