Daniel, you are too much, love your knowledge and your passion, I'll say it again!!! I am 74 years old playing professionally since I was sixteen years old, I have traveled to South America and Europe. I came up with Santo & Johnny, Te Ventures, Duane Eddy, all the doo woop tunes of the late fifties, then The Beatles came along, and bang! another new world of music. Then around 1963-65 tunes like The Girl From Ipanema, Take Five, Blue Rondo A La Turk came out, and I'm going, there is more stuff to learn?? Came to the USA in December 1967 and the first two LP's that I bought were: Down Here On The Ground, and A Day In The Life by Wes Montgomery I was never the same again! Since then I've heard all of the giants in Jazz music in all instruments, guitar, piano, sax, clarinet, trombone, etc. But, to this day, Wes Montgomery still rules my heart, funny thing is, I never copied any of his phrases or scales, because I never had the proper technique. Now the purpose of this long winded comment: Since I started following you a couple of weeks ago, a new world opened up for me, the way that you explain and dissect music is phenomenal!!! Clear, and very easy to grasp if you pay attention, now I feel like I can really learn how to play decent jazz guitar because of the way you teach. I can play, don't get me wrong, and I can play quite well, have made a decent name for myself as an Artist and guitarist, but I want to still LEARN so much more. Thanks Daniel, I will become a Patreon.
José , It is an honor for me. Thank you for sharing these words and stories with me, I found them to be very inspirational. It is my pleasure to serve as a resource for you. As we both know - Music knows no age limit. as we are all eternal students of this wonderful art form. Thank you for your appreciation and participation.
I really love the way you present everything and how you do the analysis! You have a way of keeping it simple and clear, yet just as in depth as is necessary to really get the most of out the lick
