I don't know if its due to being a fan, but this dynasty felt like you could feel it building, and didn't seem to come out of nowhere like many do. The feeling when Reid was hired that it seemed like a better hire than we would have ever hoped for. Adding long term talent that was drafted and developed as opposed to overpaying free agents for a limited window felt as if that gave the Chiefs the ability to spend money wisely and it freed kc up to get some plug and play veterans that contributed in ways other than production. What Mahomes did in 2018 led the fanbase to believe that winning, and sustained winning was probable if not expected. I don't know if its due to being a fan, but this dynasty felt like you could feel it building, and didn't seem to come out of nowhere like many do. The feeling when Reid was hired that it seemed like a better hire than we would have ever hoped for. Adding long term talent that was drafted and developed as opposed to overpaying free agents for a limited window felt as if that gave the Chiefs the ability to spend money wisely and it freed kc up to get some plug and play veterans that contributed in ways other than production. What Mahomes did in 2018 led the fanbase to believe that winning, and sustained winning was probable if not expected. When the results were above and beyond, you got the feeling that you realized "oh...I see. So to succeed in the NFL all you need to do is draft a generational qb talent. It makes sense. We really should have tried that long ago.
