One of the most overlooked parts of racing is managing your emotions when things go wrong. I'm sure we've all experienced bad races, be that through mistakes of our own or unavoidable incidents. The ability to acknowedge the feeling and to get back on task and not allow the feelings to take over is an extremely difficult skill. It's easy to get into a negative spiral. Good on you for sticking at it. We live and learn.
Props for sticking it out. We all have those days and sometimes there's nothing that can get you out the negative mindset, you just have to ride that wave of emotion, learn and come back stronger next time, which i'm sure you will
I feel for you, but selfishly it’s good to see the good drivers having their bad days too! 🤪

Glad to see your doing some acc content as that is the sim I race on. I'm a back of the pack guy on lfm lol, I started watching you playing gt sport and found it entertaining enough even though I have never played that game I have had a few of them tough races as well happens to us all
Gran turismo especially 7 isn’t wort the money it’s a polished turd they coulda turned GTS into GT7 with a cheap DLC
I felt this one so hard. I set my personal best at Mt. Panorama after practicing a few days and worked on my consistency as well. Took it online, and could not finish a lap without either a race ending mistake or getting caught in an accident. The frustration was immense.
Tough watch but you kept going and now over 72,000 subscribers. Keep going Rory, love the ACC content so much I’ve bought my first gaming PC and am now working towards an LFM license. 👍

Setups are key on this game, also the tyre pressures. Make sure they are between 27.5 - 27.7 all round and you will feel the difference right away and have more front end grip.
If you want 27.5 in hot tires what should you set the cold tires psi in ACC ?

I don't play ACC myself but have learned from youtube that the game is very sensitive to tire pressures, GT3 I believe you should look to 27.5 -28, anything outside this small window cost lap time. Hope it helps.
I've had moments like all where I just think I'm not good enough and not understanding how others are so much faster, then you have a great race fighting near the front and you get the love back. Ultimately it's not about winning all the time, just enjoying the game.
For me I learn more when I have a bad race and tend to improve next time, I came dead last and couldn't keep it on track in LFM race last week then an hour later in the next race I came 3rd!
You can never enjoy the highs unless you experience the lows.

Snetterton is a bit of a funny track, I live quite close to it and have done a couple of track days on my motorbike.

I feel it, today had almost the same journey for the 45 min Nurburgring. Was not going too bad until I ended up spinning at the last chicane. A couple of little side contacts dueling and a second pit stop needed at 5min till the end, costs me the last place and -0,50 SR points…. How you say, it’s though…

Fair play for sticking it out, earned the podium in the end with that stelar wet drive in the last one of the day. Snetterton isnt the best track in the world for bulky GT3 cars to race on especially at the start

yea those days will come unfortunatly. Started a race on Spa 4 times yesterday, did get past Les combes. the first start i didnt even make it to eau rouge, everybody wants to win in the first lap

Hi Rory, this video is great - more than you think. In a way it helps to overcome similar experiences in sim racing. Maybe next time drive a Porsche to further increase the potential frustration level. Would be very interesting to see how to deal with high amounts of frustration :-) BTW, nothing against the Porsche (I like this car) but I prefer the M4, which is a much better choice for non aliens. Keep going.

Acc and me have a similar story, you push it goes in the wall or even better back on track backwards with on coming traffic, OH COME ON. I feel your pain...... 🚜💨💨💨
Pro tip; if you can't do a turn in third gear try it in second gear. Or trail brake more to secure the front grip for tight apex.

Perhaps branch out to rf2 btcc or dare I say it iracing.. acc for me at least has been very hit and miss for good racing. Sometimes good to try some new things.
What is your channel called on Odysee? That is my preferred platform these days, but your channel and a few others I like either haven't migrated or I haven't found them over there. You, Stefan Langer (a glider pilot) and some sailing channels need to go post over there.

You can’t win them all, everyone has a bad day at the office. You shouldn’t quit when you get handed your ass by a game, dealing with failure is possibly the most effective learning tool.
