- Hi Guys,
It’s been a minute since the last time I’ve made some type of folio. So today I decided to try making my own flip flop folio. This is a little longer of a video than normal so sit back, relax and grab your favorite drink and enjoy this project. I will supply the list of items I used down below.
Measurements for this project:
Time Cards: 8 1/4 x 3 1/4 (x4)
Front Flap: 8 x 4
Side Pockets: 3 1/4 x 2 3/4 (x2)
Faux Tab Pockets: 3 5/8 x 2 3/4 (x3)
Elastic Cross Flaps: 3 1/4 x 2 3/4 (x2)

I really like the simplicity of this compared to fussy journals with lace and junk overkill. Thanks for the tape technique, it's so useful.

I highly recommend the friskars non stick scissors when cutting tape or sticky surfaces. Love your work and how well you explain everything. Thank you for sharing 😘

Whenever I first started paper crafting, I created vintage junk journals. Then, I went on to other things. I've recently found your channel, and it's making me think I need to do something in vintage again. And this just may be it!

Great tutorial Maggie, just a hint for you if you wipe your scissors or mat with nail polish remover it removes the sticky residue. Crafty hugs Jacqui 💖

I had my Hubby order the tape for me. Got it yesterday.
I love it, super sticky and it's a good size roll, compared to the Walmart one (It's nice also, but it's a lighter brown, which is fine). Now I have 2 shades of brown to work with.

What a fun project! You make me want to grab my time cards and try this! What will you end up doing with this? Put it in a journal or use as is? BTW, I have that tape too, though mine doesn't have a coating, and I love it! So sticky and useful. 😊

I love this so much and you are so talented. I am about to ask a question that may sound rude but it is more that I am naive about a few paper crafts. So what do we do with the tickets and stuff? Or it is supposed to be used as ephemera for a happy mail item. I love paper crafting but I also want to craft for a purpose so what would this be used for. PS I am making or at least going to try to make one this week 😊. Thanks for ANY advice
Hi Krista, your question doesn’t sound rude at all. Actually this was just an example of what you can add to the pockets. I personally would gift something like this in Happy Mail and add journaling spots instead of all the tickets and tags. Remember, all my projects can be customized to fit whatever type of project you are doing. Feel free to add or take away from my ideas. That’s the beauty of this craft. Hi Catherine, I went in to the Craftelier website and checked on the die set. It’s by Lora Bailora and it’s called the Escritorio Die Set. It’s spanish for Desk. Unfortunately I didn’t find it on there anymore. I’m sorry.
