- In this video we test the DT125R to the limit! With a 15 tooth (-1) front sprocket and 55 rear (-2 teeth) sprocket gearing, I got the slipping clutch fixed (turned out to be clutch cable a lil bit too tight) and optimal jetting (pilot jet was too lean) this motorcycle now packs a punch! Watch as we put it to the test, reaching an astonishing top speed of 127 km/h! Join me on this ride to experience the thrill of riding high-performance 2 stroke and see just what the DT125R is capable of!
Авто/Мото
This run is with the 16/55 sprocket ratio. It added 3km/h+ top speed over the standard 16/57 gearing that I tested in my previous video
Standard chain link ?
Gets a good speed on it live the DT125r jst bought one blue plastics with yellow ish decals
what model should i buy im thinking of buying a dt 125
I'd recommend an older DT125R, around 1988-2000ish. I don't really like the newer ones
bike red-light on means over heating your gonna need topend rebuild (head gasket)
It also comes on when 2 stroke oil is low
So other then gearing it's completely stock? Stock cdi and restricted exhaust?
Yes stock except for exhaust which was cut open and restrictor removed
@@RHauto Oh alright, so cdi was restricted then? Which would make the power valve not fully open?
@@hugoparox Mine has a locked power valve shown at 0:05. I believe they used this to close the PV and restrict the top end power instead of a cdi restriction on the earlier UK models.
@@RHauto And yet it's still really fast, that's awsome. I wonder if that's a thing in the rest of eu as well. But is it a plate making it unable to turn more or is it specially made to be restricted?
@@hugoparox I read online that the UK dealerships installed them to comply with learner licence restrictions.. The biggest problem now is it lacks low end power when the PV is adjusted fully open, but I can live with it. Riding a DT with a working YPVS feels like a completely different bike, it surges forward faster off the line
The bike is restricted on the pipe, change it and you’ll have better results
I want a DEP, more for the looks and sound though
Now test the runner
Good idea!
I'll guess 68/72mph for the runner, more content on the runner would be cool, you got a nice example of a runner there 👍
is it 11kw or 16.9kw?
It's an early UK model so 9kw
