I remember asking if using ww2 style airplanes to take out drones would be a cost effective solution on a previous video. I was told promptly "with what sensors?". The back seater eyeballs are the sensors, it turns out.
Got some 52 time. Endurance will be the issue but there is a lot of them and they fly fine. As long as they point the shotgun in the right direction it's a good platform.
I remember there was a cool video from a while back (pre-Ukraine war) that showed a drone's POV as it was hit by an air-to-air missile (by a MiG-29). Not sure what conflict it was, but it involved the Russians. Found it: ruclips.net/video/mMiJYHatu1U/видео.html
@@pogo1140 Nope, I found the one I was thinking of, apparently from the Russo-Georgian war. Hermes 450 vs MiG-29 ruclips.net/video/mMiJYHatu1U/видео.html

It’s basically TopGun. Give the international signal for peace and take a picture. Just that Yak isn’t going inverted.
A 52 has no issues going inverted.

I think you would want a wide scatter shotgun as it only takes a few bbs to likely disable
I remember seeing a Yak-52 painted in Japanese marking at an airshow years ago.
Yak110 has got to be one of the wildest things I've seen.
Does that make the Yak a technical?
It has hard points...
I have a quick question, which branch fly their aircraft the most aggressively?
While you might jokingly mock this, it's obviously an effective option with limited resources.
Check "the warzone". The yak has already have some nice kill marks.
The actual story is they were trying to shoot down an incoming Kinzal missile
If the guy is controlling the drone, maybe they're practicing the intercepts?
Wombat's deep intel on drones😂
I’m surprised they didn’t install a pair of 50 cal machine guns at the back seat.
Why?... Then it wouldn't be able to take off

it was over Iraq and it was a MiG-25's missile
