I’m so happy this band is getting more attention! I listen to them a lot when I was a kid and I still listen to them a lot now! I really recommend their other works like Aldri vodka, Violeta, kontroll på kontinentet, hjerteknuser, maestro, etc :)
This music is'nt for everybody - but one of my favorite bands. I love them - saw them at Vega in Copenhagen at their Farewell Concert in 2012 or 2013. Love the older music and the Violeta & Violeta volumes. Janove is the greatest singer- so expressive and versatile. Just love rock basically 😍😍
This band is Norwegian based and this song in particular is one of their darker ones. The lead singer is representing the devil, and the lyrics basically explain how he's there twisting you in every moment of your life.
I was and am a huge Kaizers Orchestra fan. They were legendary live performers! Janove Ottesson, the lead singer, is something else! All their music is very dramatic and is centered around a bunch of characters in the same universe with interwined stories. They were active from 2000-2013 but I recently read something about them playing again. I really don’t know what to recommend to you as they have so many great songs!
Hi there, Jeff. Hope all is well. This was so weird and wonderful! I did a quick check and it seems this band are from my neighboring Norway. This was awesome. Quirky and bizarre, and sometimes creepy... Clockwork Orange creepy 😅. Loved it! Thank you and take care 🙋✨❤️
This is so absolutely my favorite song by K.O. I just wish more ppl would listen, it is so rare to hear this kind of music. I especially live the part with the tap dancing. Language is old norwegian, and eventhough I as a dane, usually understand the language, it is very difficult to understand. As far as I know, even ppl from Norway have difficulties understanding it all. I am soo happy, you did the reaction to it. For that I just subscribed. Lots of love ❤️❤️❤️ from Denmark. Lene61/🇩🇰
This was really fun!🤣😂😅🥳🤪😄👍🏼 How come I never thought of you maybe really digging them?!? Sorryyyyyyy🙄😅🥰 One of my friends has been a big fan of this spectacular and very popular Norwegian orchestra (they sang in an Norwegian dialect, jærsk🇮🇸😉) and been to crazy live-concerts with them as well, where NObody knew what was going on, Everybody got surprised from start->end while being big scale entertained!?!??👀💥🎶🌪️🤣😆😂😅 (latest 10 years ago I believe here in our hometown😃), before they disbanded in 2013 or so - but maybe they are comming back now?🤔☺️💚 I’m sorry - that’s all I know and remember straight up😄🥳🤗.

You are lucky to discover this band Stratele. Kaizers Orchestra have a fantastic catalogue of songs that together build their own mystic universe. Their songs are composed with live shows in mind and in quite an unconventional way using a lot of halfnotes and “wrong” notes. Together with playing instruments outside the “box” sure get the audiences attention. Kaizers Orchestra were known for their absolutely stunning live performences fronted by the charismatic Janove Ottesen, until they did their last show in Stavanger, Norway in 2013. But hey, you just got on the bus in time, because in November 2022 they announced that they are back and will write new music and play concerts again from fall 2023. 56 shows sold out in a couple of hours. The fans had been craving for that news for ten years and after a lot of cryptick hints (probably arranged by Mr. Kaizer himself 😉), they finally went bananas when the dates were published. As for other tracks to check out - yes, pretty much all of it but here is a few: Svarte katter og flosshatter Ompa til du dør KGB Diamant til Kull Evig Pint Hjerteknuser Siste Dans and the fantastic war epos called «170» This is by no means a complete list. If you want to see what kind of grip Kaizers Orchestra have on their fans during their shows, I recommend looking up their taped concert here on RUclips from Vega, Copenhagen or the video from their last concert in Stavanger called «Siste Dans» Enjoy 😊
Their concert at Øyafestivalen (oft shortened to Øya-which is fun bc it's pronounced, "ooh, ya") is great and also on RUclips last I've checked. I think it was in 2011 but I could be conflating it with a diff concert of theirs
Also I meant to comment this as a reply, but accidentally left it as an original comment: I had no idea they've gotten back together and are doing concerts! I'm definitely gonna go to one! Thanks so much for including that information in ur comment!
The language is Danish. Never seen/heard/heard about. But I agree. Three exotic suggestions, nonUS and almost forgotten: 1. Two musicians active together in Sweden for three years in the late 60s. One of their fans was Jimi Hendrix(!) They planned to cooperate with Jimi Hendrix Experience. Improvised jazzfusion. Hansson & Karlsson. Try "Triplets" 1967 (4:55). 2. British / Israelian progrock band Jericho (aka the Churchills) with "Kill me with your love" 1972 (9:52). 3. Swedish experimental jazzfusion group Samla mammas manna (later von Zamla) with song "Circus Apparatha" 1971 (6:07). Unfortunately no videos! There wasn't any in those days - exept when on TV.
@@erikjacobsen8614 OK, It was not Swedish for sure! To me it sounded more Danish, but of course you are right! There are many dialects in both. I have collegues from both countries but we try to speak "Scadinavian" with each other.
The title of the song means "Funeral Polka". Seriously, this is not very far from Tom Waits territory (and he actually enjoyed them, calling what they do "thinking man's circus music".) But "Hjerteknuser" is probably the most heartbreaking song they ever wrote.
This band has a funny fiction made about themselves. The mafiaboss mr. Kaizers (guy with the gasmask) owns the band. This was their "last song", where the band sttend the funeral of their leader. With mr. Kaizers dead, they dont have a reason to play anymore
