I just got mine delivered yesterday I got the 4x2x2 foot for my northern blue tongue skink and I ordered the backdrop for a extra 200 dollars I know my skink will love 💙 the enclosure
I absolutely love my Dubia enclosures. Easy to assemble, amazing quality, strong, super sturdy. I eventually want to get their arboreal set up and give that shot. I was very curious about how the expansion kit worked and what it was made out of so thanks for that little break down, I'm 100% making my two 5x2s a 10x2 now.
One big problem i would have with these enclosures is that they have the screen top. It makes it impossible to keep in humidity. Otherwise i love the look of them. Great review, thank you!
That’s fair! Some people have put tape or plastic on the top to counteract that but I totally get not wanting to do all that. It’s easy for me because I control the humidity in the entire room.
@Therealdeathdaddy i wish i could go with a humidity and temperature controlled room. Im stuck with heat mats, heat panels and constant spraying. how is the scren attached? Is it easily removed? A sheet of acrylic, and hang the light fixture inside might work if those bars on the top can hold some weight.
@@alexdapandulce I can definitely make something like that. I did however just make one about this exact topic last week. It’s for a western diamondback!! It’s linked on my channel.
@@Jerome11990 I don’t use hotspots. My entire room is temperature controlled. There are a few enclosures that have small heat mats but they hardly ever get used by the animals.
That’s what I was wondering also. I like the cages but you won’t be able to stack this close together if running hot spots. I’m thinking of going with Storage Racks. Great Video!
Can you do a vid on how to get your hands on hots? Like where you recommend buying from, what expos still allow venomous, what shipping services and your experience just actually getting them.
@@Zaku186 hmm that’s definitely going to be something I need to think about. I’m not sure if there are any sort of TOS or community guidelines preventing me from disclosing that sort of thing. I’ll definitely look into it though! As far as which expos have hots? That’s definitely going to be different for every state.
@@AR-up4en no worries, I get asked this a lot so no worries. I keep the entire room temperature controlled. There are a few select species that have small heat mats under the enclosures but they hardly ever get used. IMO and experience, ambient heat is far far far greater than heat bulbs of ANY kind.
@@Smithbriart yeah that is true, however ANY enclosure that you need to assemble yourself is going to need to be waterproofed yourself. Takes less than 5 min to silicone the bottom before assembly.

How do u get ur cord tho the enclosure vents holes are to small
@ no they have a place on the side of the inclosure you can adjust to fit cords
@@cindygonzalez2466 iamgroot is correct, there are vent holes on the side made for cables.
@ I also don’t have cords inside of my enclosure, all of the lights and cables are on top. Nothing inside.

Are they available in Europe?
@@danielguras I am not sure if they ship to Europe. I would contact them and find out, Dubia.com

better than exoterra or zoo med EXCEPT there not waterproof...you got to do that yourself.
