It is a concerted effort by the investor class to wring every ounce of blood from working people who have no chance of getting ahead. They pushed energy prices up so that people think that paying $3.70 per gallon of gas is normal. Then they boosted housing costs sky high and bought up entire blocks of single family homes forcing already stressed families to pay exorbitant rents while owning nothing. Now they have a lock on the food supply with a government that does nothing to limit the predatory gouging. At some point people will have had enough and then it will get violent.

@@kcfmark Our world achieved record breaking high global per-capital food production in 2023. Food inflation in the USA is (was) not due to food scarcity. Nope. Mexico doesn't want our US corn. The world is awash in cheap food commodities. Take US/NATO propaganda with a grain of salt.

Almost impossible to fed yourself from a garden. It's a good idea, but a better investment in both money and effort is to stock up on cheap (while they are still cheap) staples (flour, rice, beans, corn) and learn to cook. You can get by very nicely for under $500/person/year. Cheaper with more people

One thing always puzzles me - the 'leaders' keep accusing Russia of "weaponizing" gas, oil, now fertilizers - but Russia was always a reliable trade partner, she never cut the supplies of gas, etc., to countries who had contracted for it. It was the leaders themselves who "weaponized" the commodities by sanctioning Russia. How is Russia to blame for the sanctions against it and their consequences?

Small growers, local growers, are often not part of the national and international trade wars, as their customer base is smaller, as are the farms, and they can only supply small stores within a certain distance. Farm stands, flea markets, farm markets, fresh markets, etc. also carry local produce for the most part. Now is a good time to support local farmers and small stores that carry their products.
