- In this Maldives travel vlog we take to the water in a Dhoni, a traditional Maldivian sailing boat. Dhonis are made from coconut palm and were traditionally used as fishing vessels.
The Dhoni at Baros resort is called Nooma which means blue flower. Every day I had seen Nooma from our luxury water villa and was excited to finally get the opportunity to hop on board.
The Nooma boat cruise we went on came with champagne, canapés and front row seats for the beautiful sunset.
Going on a Dhoni sunset cruise was a great way to experience some Maldivian culture.

Sushi for breakfast?! Excellent! OMG, those pastries look so delectable! You are so lucky to have seen an octopus; they are hard to find! Wow, the dhoni is so cool-looking! Yes, that was a nice clink! Those colors in the dusk sky are so pretty! LOL at the palate-cleansing "fruit things"!! 😂

So interesting to see how buffet etiquette has changed since Covid. It's kind of nice how so many people won't be touching the same utensils. The reefs look really nice, looking forward to diving there someday! One of our major bucket list items is to stay in one of those overwater bungalows in the Maldives- everything looks beautiful!
It's great to stay in an overwater bungalow at least once. It's a completely unique experience! The strangest part was my body got a bit thrown off by all the water around the bungalow and thought I was on a boat moving! 😂

The beach of Maldives is just so beautiful and it's great to enjoy those fresh food at the restaurant. I have always wanted to visit this island to try snorkeling. Those tiny fish are lovely.

It was another guest saying not to get in the water because I wobbled at the edge of the boat like I was about to fall in 😂 That would not have been ideal!
Thank you for another fantastic video. The boat trip looked amazing. So often the pleasure is diluted by engine noise, to have just the boat and the sea is wonderful and makes me imagine what it would be like when sail boats were king of the seas.
Thank you very much! Yes, it feels so lovely to just hear the sounds of the waves and the seabirds instead of a huge motor. Sail boats are also so beautiful!
Firstly strating from the buffet, it had more selection and secondly the suba diving was amazing with all the corals and fish.The accomodation/cabins looks amazing and the sunset gives that relaxation.Everything looks perfect i wish i could visit there someday.
There was so much selection! I only filmed a small portion of it too. The fish were amazing! Yes, I'd definitely recommend paying Maldives a visit :)
