A new build Saint great! The straight footplate and steps look wonderful. To think many of the Saints before scrapping ended up on goods and mixed traffic, so its a treat to see GWR coaches behind a great Lady. Thanks
Great video love the SVR and the volunteers. Just wanna say a massive thank you to all the staff and volunteers down there for keeping the railway alive. I hope i can join them soon as a junior volunteer
@@SevernValleyRailwayOfficial its the truth. Could you do a youtube video please explaning how the station tickets for non train travelers works as im a bit confused.
As someone who is actually a Didcot resident, lady of legend is a pride to rail enthusiasts along the great Western mainline and beyond, and as much as I like the DRC, it is far too small, especially for locomotives in our collection that can really put on a grand show!
I remember going to Didcot on the first weekend of public running and feeling like an over-excited 7 year old all over again as she came into view that Saturday morning along the demo line! I am delighted she will be stretching her legs now on the SVR, I just wish I could get down myself 🤷🏻♂️🍻
@@SevernValleyRailwayOfficial: and we’d love to come. Alas we are over the other side of the country and spare time is precious at the moment. Hopefully we can sort something out out at some point though 👍
Magnificent looking locomotive sounds great, would love ❤️ to see Lady Of Legend running on the main line on the cathedral express say between between Worcester Oxford Didcot and return ? I can 😁 dream can't I just a comment, well done everyone who keep these magnificent steam locomotive s alive and running for people to enjoy.
I've seen the videos of her running she looks amazing! Fantastic effort all around. It's weird to think this loco is never than all the GWR IET's and electrostars.
Hi I just wanted to know the date of the spring steam up gala as I was thinking about coming down to Kidderminster Station and taking a few photos of the Locomotives
@@simmo151 The tender is actually normal sized; the loco is just tall due to its large drive wheels. The cabs on the Saints are different to that on the Halls and another visual difference is the front end. 2999 has a straight running board whereas Halls have curved running boards although some Saints were built with curved running boards.

She was a wonderful guest for our Steam Up!
This is fantastic I will see you there on April 18th
So nice to see a Saint running elsewhere than on my layout. ( I have two, including "Saint David"!) Hats off to both Didcot and the SVR.
You can come visit her on the Severn Valley Railway: bit.ly/LadyOfLegendExtraDates

tender-first running with a Churchward cab and a low tender : lots of fresh air all round.
That's why he's watering down the coal, loads of coal dust in yer mush!
Yes, Churchward wasn't known for considering the comfort of footplate crew.
That engine looks great first time I saw her she was in bits fantastic she's alive great video guys 😀😀
A magnificent machine! bit.ly/LadyOfLegendExtraDates

Just disgraceful that Didcot have ceased any interest in operating their locos on the mainline. Didcot is too small for a loco like the saint.
We'd love to welcome you! bit.ly/LadyOfLegendExtraDates

Wasn’t she rebuilt into a saint class?
well, strictly speaking it's a rebuilt Hall
