Listen, Kate Mansey. You said in the podcast on March 12 that the statement from Kensington Palace, that the Princes of Wales needed to recover in private, 'is not enough, isn't it?' This podcast is about two journalists deflect the responsibility of this debacle from themselves. If the Princess wants privacy, what can Kensington Palace do for 'crisis management'? Also, journalists should realise that they have agency to direct the situation one way or the other. The lack of capacity for self-reflection often causes them to be like seaweed in the sea - just swaying in the current. The current discourse of journalism doesn't know what to do about mis/disinformation themselves. But you can't help it, can you?, to have to blame others. Here's an option when somebody asks for privacy: not reporting, or report on not reporting.

I believe the press need to be careful about pressuring Kensington Palace to be more open. I have the strongest impression that, if pushed too far, William will retreat to the privacy Her Late Majesty had when she ascended the throne and will hire his own Abominable No Man as a Press Secretary. He is much more successful at keeping his family protected, and he has a better understanding of the mistakes his mother made in her relationship with the press.
Hagan is a big MM supporter. Does not come as a surprise that now she’s being Uber critical of Princes Catherine and Kensington Palace.
Afua would be better suited working for Meghan and Harry. She should find another job if she wants to continue spewing garbage about Princess Catherine.

The thing that irks me about this sad excuse of Palace's fault is that literally between not speculating in chance it's something grave and being intrusive and evil they decided latter. It's on them. It's not Palace. Palace didn't push anyone to make up lewd conspiracies about murders. It's completely on them. No they didn't. She was recovering from major abdominal surgery, and MSM were more than aware. Catherine did not want her diagnosis announced via a statement, and wasn't in a position to do it any earlier. Journalists would never have been satisfied with banal updates from the palace. There's not much that could be done if Catherine wasn't willing to be seen, or disclose details any earlier.
