My Z&Z full kit just came in yesterday. But I can’t get in my garage to start putting anything on. Currently insect bombing the garage for the damn spiders in it.
Be careful about the front axle sliders, they can actually do more damage than preventing.. I've seen it quite a few times, the impact on the cast aluminum(or is it iron?) at the bottom of the forks makes them crack.
During installation I found myself going between this video and Attention Deficit's video. In Attention Deficit'd video he shows you how to uninstall the kickstand via unplugging NOT cutting and soldering. I was very concerned that Id have to solder after watching this version of the install
This is just the best way to do it for looks and to make sure that it doesn’t come unplugged. Honestly I just thought it went without saying how to get the wiring apart and connect the two wires... hope you got it all fixed though
So I removed the kickstand switch completely, and my Grom starts in neutral. However, when I put into first, the bike stalls (kickstand is up). Will cutting the wires and soldering resolve this issue?
Also had a lot of problems with my rear brake after installation sometimes it’s stiff af sometimes it’s super soft sometimes it’ll act normal and then right back to being stiff
Removing the linkage makes it more of a stiff when shifting. I have tried a solid shifter but getting into neutral is a pain and if you crash on that side you have a possibility of breaking off the shifter gear thing that sticks out of the engine which is a really expensive repair.
Should mount normally, depends on the exhaust. For my stock exhaust I do not have the rear top bolt above the muffler in, but it has been fine, no problems
Aftermarket don't have the under bolt so needs the rear bolt. I've wondered how to mount, I guess you will need a custom bracket or the like to run these rearsets with aftermarket. @@GromGarage
@@GromGarage I remember you put one on your Old Grom. Said you did not like it then either. LOL I love mine. The stock one caused me to miss too many gears and find neutrals.
@@ichibangrom9735 heard nuetral is a pain in the ass to find with the ims, I ordered one anyways since I ordered the zz rearsets and mine got bent to shit when I looped my grom lol
Im currently on the market looking for stunt parts for my grom. I checked into the part you're installing, i noticed it offers optional sizing. Mind me asking what sizing measurements you selected?
On the axle sliders I chose not to use the washers but you can use them if you want. (I wanted as much thread on the nut as possible)... as for the axle sliders it comes with hardware for it

Thanks man. We've seen it happen in our group more than once. It's just one of those things you take a chance on. And its cast aluminum.
cant wait for mine to get here!! I went with the single person white with black folding pegs
Nice! I couldn’t recommend them enough! I’ve used them and unfortunately abused them, but I love them 😍
You DONT have to bang on the axle like that. Just lift up on the back wheel a bit and pull it out.
That’s my color combo on the grom I bought yesterday!
Nice!

It might? I'm honestly not sure if it wires need to stay unconnected or not to make it think the kickstand is always up. I'd try both 🤷🏼♂️
They need to be connected (Kyle)
So I would like to know how you mounted your exhaust up with this new pegs set because I see there’s no place to mount that?
I have a Dinger built exhaust now and it mounts underneath 🤷🏻♂️
Z&z also sells an exhaust mount for this pegs for $15
So if your brake feels too tight after installing these, how would you loosen the brake lever? Asking for a friend.
MenialMunk feels too tight? What do you mean?
@@FPV_amDerek it takes more effort to push down the brake lever than it did with the stock rearsets.
More pressure to get more brakes. Makes it harder to hit the brakes in a wheelie, which is really scary once you hit balance point
I would try messing with the adjustment on the master link and look for kinks in the line. I personally did not have this problem

does removing the linkage make it harder to shift? or get into neutral?

how do you see the lines on the rear axle when you need to adjust the chain?
You can see the lines and judge them to the cutout on the swingarm. It’s really simple when you see it
I have those for my z. I love em
Yea, they are super nice! Loving mine so far

@@stickmanmoto3861 if u ask z&z to include a low mount exuahst bracket with ur order they will!
Looks pretty smooth. No IMS Shift lever? LOL Thanks for the video
Not a big fan of a solid shifter, last time I had one it hurt my foot 🤷🏼♂️

I got the fattest and longest ones he offered. (That’s what she said)
