hmm...I've spent some time thinking about a "Thorin-Cocktail", and the best I can come up with would be a variation of a Mumbai Mule. There is a very specific Gin out called The Great Oriental, it's a Gin spiced up with saffron, cardamom, aniseed, cinnamon and cloves, but the best thing is that it has flakes of 23 carat gold in it...so pair that over ice with freshly squeezed lemon juice, a bit of ginger syrup and fill it up with soda water, and there you have it. Spicy and fruity, not too sweet and with a hint of hot in the back...and gold! Come to think, that perfectly describes lovely Richard as well. 😉
