Depressing to think only 2/4 of the people talking are still alive. I wish Patrice could've gotten a handle on his diabetes. It really isn't something to play around with. I've known people who have died from it, lost both of their legs, etc. It's crazy because people will eat like they don't have it and then die young.
Yeah was reading about the NYC mayor Eric Adams and how he was to beat his diabetes with a vegan diet. Knew Patrice started doing similar stuff but looks like he left it too late.
Diabetes is a funny disease. The sugar in the blood actually makes one's brain function differently.
It’s crazy how some handle it better and still drink and eat fatty foods, my grandpa lived to 82 having it for 40 years being a hard drinking farmer. Might’ve been the physical work keeping him alive that long

You know I feel like every time I listen to one of these videos I hear the Opster tell other peoples stories like they are his own and it reaffirms my beliefs that had he not found Ant and invited Jim to be on the show he would be the little unfunny nothing he really is
As unlikable as Opie was, you can't ignore that he was just as much a part of it as Anthony. If you wanna break it down simply, Opie was an awkward guy. But he contributed to segments, promoted, stayed and kept the show moving along for around 20 years. I certainly don't love the guy but there were moments in the history of O&A that would not be possible without BOTH of them.
You do realize Opie has literally killed more funny ass fucking bits with phonecalls than any human being on earth? Towards the end just because he felt left out? Have you listened to Gregshells??
Look I feel like every time someone defends opie their only real defense is "there would be no Anthony without Opie" but after a while that defense is a disservice to Anthony after Anthony essentially kept Gregg "I've been doing radio since I was 18" Hughes in the whole radio industry on his talent as well as keeping a good chemistry with Jim keeping him invested with sticking with the show so who cares about his "discovery" of Anthony, when it was Anthony's overall personality that essentially kept those three together and the show moving up till 2014 and Opies "Behind the scenes" defense will never mean anything to me until he states what those things were

Greg graduated from law school and shit, he was an attorney before he dropped that to be a comic, people don't realize he was a very smart and educated dude because he didn't look it or need to act like it.
