Do you get custom pistons made for the Ford 6.6, or is there a supplier for pistons that handle all of those pure american horses? I know tractors pullers don't like sharing their secrets, but I can't help but assume they probably aren't stock pistons. Any chance you can share your source? I only use my 8700 for farming, but put a turbo on a stock bottom end, I want to rebuild it with good parts one day.
The TW20 is actually an 8700, it got rebadged when we redid the paint, and it is still running completely stock engine we’ve only retorqued head bolts when we added fuel and air…
@@bluebanditpullteam that's awesome! Good to know. I'm running stock timing with basically a chinese clone of an old M&W turbocharger, it will run 14 psi of boost in road gear on the hills, has a bit more blowby than I'd like though.
