My criteria: the melody must be recurring. So while guitar parts like the intro to All Along the Watchtower or the Comfortably Numb solo are amazing, they only happen once in their respective songs, so they don't make my list.
I'm super agree with this list. And as expected, my favorite For The Love God would be the final one in the vid. \m/
Dogs by pink floyd is a good one !
I'm not sure which one I'd have to kick out, but Peter Frampton...Do You Feel Like We Do...
Soothesayer by Buckethead wouldn't be a bad one either.
but where is BLEED????
what's this? a top 10 without a 2 minutes intro telling us to like comment share and subscribe, but gets straight into the video? godly.
I felt something was wrong!
@je moeder
Welcome to this channel.
he actually did it in the outro
glad you enjoyed it! please like comment share and subscribe!
@@flyingspaghettimonster8612 way better
I likes how you played Smooth on a PRS
I likes your English.
I very likes this guitarer
I very likes your English
Ed Ward who doesn't?
No one, obviously.
For The Love of God and Always With Me, Always With You are two of my favorite songs of all time. Well done, sir.
Love how Layla is first ❤❤
Holy shit, you played Maybe im Amazed?!
I find it a really underated song talking about guitar work. The two solo's are easely looked over, but they are Tasty as Hell!!
Elliott T yes
It's the only post-Beatles song by McCartney that I have on any playlist. Maybe because it's one of the only ones that had the "could have been a Beatles song" vibe besides simply being a great song.
Like because "Cliffs of Dover" is in!!
Yeah, I also recently love "Always with me, always with you" but "Cliffs of Dover" is the sick standard.
I never tried to play that but seeing him play it up close I`m thinking, wow that looks kinda easy. I think I could play that. lol
Well, the fun melody is not that hard to play. Everything else is difficult as fuck!!
If your goal is not to play in tempo it's not that hard. There are 2 or 3 16th run which is really hard in ~180 bpm, but outside of it it's technically not that hard and sounds quite good even with 120-140 bpm.
And really fun to practice. :)
ChristarasKor if it hadn't been this video is a scam
No lil wayne or nick Jonas?
Wusic is Min for gods sake are you Tyler’s alter ego or something?Wait if you are does Steve vai have feel or not.
Kurdt Steve vai has no feel and only plays a million notes per second
Wusic is Min only they are too difficult for anyone to play
Wusic is Min u funny haha
Yes, no lil wayne and no nick jonas
You can rly tell how much effort was put into this. He got such good tones for each of the songs
When are we getting a top ten rhythms list with just Hendrix top to bottom?
Hendrix is not the whole of music, there's plenty of great rhythms out there
Rhain Ellis yeah but he's Jimi Hendrix
Aidan Howes yeah man he's fucking Hendrix!
Aidan Howes that's when you cross the line of greatly appreciating and over rating
Ace Dragon did you just call hendrix over rated
I am really happy that you included Guthrie's "Wonderful Slippery Thing." It's such a great song 👌🏽
Always with me always with u is the song that made me start learning electeic guitar, after that is For the love of God.
Cliff of Dovers is definetely the hardest one that open my mindset about guitar instrumental song.
All songs here sure is a great masterpiece 👍👍👍
Maybe I'm Amazed is still underrated.
True. One of if not the best songs McCartney did after the beatles.this is coming from a great mccartney fan. And he put on the credits"Paul mccartney and wings", while it is from the album mccartney, where he played all the instruments in his basement
Wickidly masterful song-ha ha.
Some of my faves:
Revelation - Spectre
Tool - The Patient
Led Zeppelin - No Quarter
Dream Theater - The Dark Eternal Night
Steve Vai - Bad Horsie
Totally with you here lmao
I am in tears. If only I can have 1% of your abilities and talent
Frank Zappa- Black Napkins
Frank Zappa- Watermelon in Easter Hay
Funkadelic- Maggot Brain
Great to see Malmsteen here but what about Iron Maiden???
I expected wild winds to be No.1
For the love of god, this is a good list.
I'm happy to see always with you, Guthrie, and cliffs. Great list.
"This Charming Man". Thats all im gonna say
I love that you had Guthrie on there!
Sooo happy to see some love for wonderful slippery thing great song
I don't know why this video was in my recommended videos but I'm glad it was
Me: watching video
Tyler: plays maybe I’m amazed
Me: instant like
(Cliffs of Dover 1:40) is my favourite, along with (free bird 2:53) anyone else agree?
If I made this video I would surely include 'wishful thinking'- john Petrucci , 'I cannot tell a lie' - paul gilbert and of course Purple rain guitar battle version 😥😥
Santana is a master of melodies!
AGREE!
All the tones match the original closely also!
I Love the Solo on the First Song: Layla by Eric Clapton
Cause we've ended as lovers is missed!
And practically every George Harrison solo with The Beatles
yeah you mean like while my guitar gently weeps which was played by Eric Clapton
Especially "Something"
thumbs up mostly because you included FREEBIRD! there are more LS guitar riffs that should be included soo many!
Perhaps I'm being a bit picky here, but "Maybe I'm Amazed" is Mc Cartney solo. Wings were formed a couple of years after this. In fact the album it comes off "MCCARTNEY" is him on his own with a little help from his wife Linda. Great video. Thanks for showing us.
Yep you nailed it. I agree with all of those choices. Great job on nailing the individual tones along with playing the parts. BTW if your green PRS or strat go missing.... I have no idea where they could be.
Yes! I wanna to learn it! Thanks!😊
Im gonna say it
Adventure of a lifetime
Lol no
Sweet Child o' Mine was a no brainer, but damn, For the Love of God gave me goosebumps when he played that. Currently replaying the part right now. Daaamnnn.
Tyler breaks out the slide......bravo!
Sweet executions. Feel like a dope though, heard skynyrd my whole life, never seen em, never knew freebird was slide
I was expecting tender surrender...but still... the list is marvelous
Nice eclectic mix of tunes! And that's some great playing, my friend!
Great video. Great pics.
This is a list which contains at least one favourite song of any guitarist I guess.
The solo of Breaking All Illusions (Dream Theater) is one of the most beautiful I've ever heard.
This was fantastic thank you!
I know it's simple, but I love the melody from Green Day's "Makeout Party". I don't know why I just love it.
my top 10 is 10 absolutely any Jacky Vincent tracks
Exceptional guitar playing as always!! Awesome sound replication on the different artist's tones!
excellant choices man
Lovely tunes, well played sir. Sometimes I Feel Like Screaming by Deep Purple is a worthy contender for any follow up list.
Phenomenal list
Still got the blues
awesome... just awesome
my top 3
pantera: floods
metallica: hit the lights
disturbed: vengeful one
Great Sound😍
Glorious
Do a part 2 of this video :D
I wasn't expecting Layla that fast, instant upvote.
Wonderful tonight Eric Clapton
Dick Dale: Miserlou. There your list is now complete
Playing Cliffs of Dover wrong mate
True but i think he just sounds it out by ear and does his own thing
What random person in the comments
Have a nice day or night
Thank you Steve
For the love of god is the best in my taste of music & flying in a blue dream should be also added in my opinion 😍🎸🎶✌
Sweet stuff
1:23 the best riff of all time 😎😎
Great selection, missed Still Got the Blues
The guitar in "smooth" is amazing, too bad it's always in the background
xxJingoxx999 agreed. Fun fact: there's also a second guitar part in there that you can't hear unless you listen to the master on YT, it's playing an octave higher to add a harmony to what's already an incredible guitar part.
Smooth is good. In my opinion, Europa is Santana's best though.
Anthony Sclafani Can you give the url?
ruclips.net/video/biHoKfWSyuY/видео.html
^here's the guitar master. There's a second guitar track an octave higher that's playing throughout the whole song. It's not a whammy set an octave up in front of the whole rig like Tom Morello does, it's a separate track completely playing simultaneously. You might have to do some blending with the second octave up part to get it to sound right, but that's what he's doing in the recording. It adds a subtle edge that helps the guitar cut through. Not super obvious when you listen to it, but when you add it you can hear it does make a bit of a difference. Hope this helps!
Anthony Sclafani thank you
Can you do a lesson on cliffs of dover, you play it so simple
I couldn't care less about the other songs but at least play the Cliffs Of Dover chorus correctly `_ゝ`
no soothsayer? but sweet child o mine? its a shame
YES !
Guittard Axel finally found the comment i was looking for
Absolutely
Guittard Axel just because sweet child O mine is popular doesn’t mean it’s bad
@@1234mwmmwmtrainer But it is. Its garbage. Hot trash. The most overrated piece of shit riff ever created. Only teenagers like that shit.
Thanks for this video. Great songs they are. I think you would like to play and add something from Gary Moore too?
Good job
My Sweet Lord by George Harrison has a pretty good intro
My fav satriani song is satch boogie
Switch 625 has a great melody too.
What strat was that buddy ? Gorgeous!
Still Got the Blues, Parisienne Walkways or One Day?
Gary Moore - Parisienne Walkways
Thin Lizzy - The Boys are Back in Town
cliffs of dover is so amazing
Great, especially that stuff of Yngwie Malmsteen!
1:24 🤘
I love that brown guitar... can anyone tell me the name, brand, model, something? Please!
Man, Hotel California should get on those list
Mark Tremonti's melody on ghost of days gone by
Maybe I'm Amazed is Paul McCartney solo. It was before Wings.
My top 10:
For the love of God - Steve Vai
Tender surrender - Steve Vai
Hysteria - Def Leppard
Sweet child o mine - Guns n Roses
Layla - Eric Clapton
Ok top 5 then
Sorry guys.
"For the love of God" reminds me of something from Xenoblade Chronicles. Probably very influenced by the sound of Vai.
The best of times should have been there...melodies and no J.P is like McDonald's without burgers
Did you create the backing tracks, or did you obtain them from somewhere?
I'm Alright by Neil Zaza is a pretty good one.
So is glasgow kiss
This is unrelated, but have you learned how to do the inverted tapping technique that Eddie Van Halen uses for Eruption, or do you still play it wrong?
Fight Fire With Fire has a great melody too
I think that is missed Just Feel Better of Santana and Steve Tyler (Aerosmith)
I would love if you make a “Top 10 Satriani melodies”
What Strings do you use? Looks very smooth especially Düring your bendings
Deep purple sometimes I feel like screaming should be here
I think Tears of Sahara could have made this list. Very cool!
Local hero - Mark Knopfler
What's the difference between intro, melody and solo??Can anyone explain ..plz..short and sweet😉😉
the only song from this list that I know is Sweet Child O Mine
I'd say moonflower by santana has a better melody than smooth and I'm not sure if fear of the dark counts but it's quite reoccurring so I'd count it
